A little update of the GSG 1911

The latest word from GSG is the pistols are gonna be a couple more weeks. They have told us they had another small delay in the manufacturing of the 1911s. We appreciate everyone's patience.

don't forget shipping and customs times. i'm willing to bet i get my RPAL before the GSG 1911 leaves the factory.

Guys Blue Line has no control over our lovely Germany gun maker. Please don't blame them because they are the gunstore in our neighbourhood:)

Just be happy that a dealer is taking upon themselves to make this new offering available here in Canada.

Welcome to the world of manufacturing, things can go wrong, things can get delayed.

I find its best to wait until a product comes out and is readily available before worrying about it too much.

We realize this has taken significantly longer than we had originally estimated. Like others have said, we have no control over when these pistols arrive. When GSG gives us an update on their progress we can only pass this information on to the customer. They have had several delays in production including a later start than expected. Once again we apologize for the delay and we hope to have them in as soon as possible.

I can say that I understand everyone's opinion, whether it be PO'd or patient. What keeps me from jumping all over this financially, is the fact that, without knowing what the actual "delay" is, how can you not wonder if there are production issues/problems? I know they're cheap (what I'm all about), but I also know that I don't what to be on the receiving end of some kind of defect. I hope they're REALLY COOL.

My 2 cents

well i am a guy of little patients but waiting for this one so far, in my view quality seems good. looks like a bit more parts than the CHIAPPA 1911-22. but more closer to its big brother as the CHIAPPA does not have a grip safety and gsg does a video of the takedown to tide you over.

except for the Chiappa is here and the GSG is "cheque is in the mail" status for two months past promised dates...

I would wait a year or two before throwing away my money on such untested and unproven design.
Now, since the gun itself can't even arrive here, think about the spare parts availability...

I cancel my order

I cancel my order, i wait to long time my patience have a limit.

Juste dicide to bought a beretta target 87 not the same price but not the same quality.

And they have in stock at EPPS.

Vinnce.

This is why I only buy when its in stock. Better than hearing "cheque is in the mail". kinda like the Marstar CQ's that haven't landed yet where as I've had mine for weeks.
