You need to keep checking all facilities within your shopping radius that carry ammo, its a hit and miss find. Check the EE now and again, its not easy to find and can be found in the oddest places. P&D is the only place I know that carries it somewhat consistently in AB ATRS sometimes has it as do other small town stores. You have to simply keep your eyes and ears open and buy whatever pops up.

If that were actually a main concern, we'd all be using frangible ammunition...

Not at all, frangible ammo has almost no lead, it's largely epoxy and shot inside a standard jacket.
Hollow points are really fun to keep in the nightstand after you heat up the load by dripping mercury from an old thermostat into the gap and then sealing the deal with candle wax, its a sure thing then! REAL ZOMBIE KILLERS!
