Good place to buy a range bag

^ those are very cool. i actually remembered them a few days ago since i was once helping a friend of mine look for a nice all-in-one toolbox for her motorbike & home improvement tools. don't recall how expensive they were, but probably worth looking into esp if they have a good way of folding out.

I've been looking for a Canadian supplier since I posted that. No luck so far but they can be had for $30 in the states so they shouldn't be too much more here.

I paid nearly that for my 2 pistol (plastic) case.

This baby would hold ammo, bags, gear...all of it.

^ really? cuz 2-3 years ago i recall seeing that type of thing at the local Home Depot. since Lowe's is now in Canada, might be there too... probably more than $30 though.

i'll swing by the local Crappy Tire and RONA (and maybe Costco) and see what's available in these parts - cuz i'll be needing something soon as well. Home Depot and Lowe's are just not on the way home from work.

This looks like the same one at home depot (just different colors).

The description says it's not lockable but it has the same loop for a lock between the latches as the US one. It's $42.99.

spits up an error / page not found, something about locations. but manually searching shows it. looks ok, and there's another one for 44.99 that looks ok too.

got the PM link. not sure if i'll be at HD today, but i'll pop in to CT and RONA and take pics of what they do have that would look reasonable.

±60$ at Can tire I got another model but for my rifle range bag:
(yes I pack alot of stuff)

^^That's actually the one I was looking for when I found the upright. I'm a mech and some of the guys use those at work for travelling with gear. Tougher than hell and recommended.

The upright might be a little more discreet but hey, it's all about hauling equipment.

yeah but since this topic is about a pistol range bag, I suppose the upright is a better choice since you're not likely gonna need to haul a chrony, its tripod, a benchrest, 2 sandbags, a windflag, a 150 piece toolbox, a replacement parts box and a rifle cleaning kit!

went to CT and RONA, got some pics but will take a while to transfer from the iPhone. some interesting stuff in the $65 to $125 range.

More is better no?

Seriously, though, lots of good ideas to haul your gear to the range here. Many of us don't have the coinage to dump on cadpat etc.

Utility is the word. Personally I find I need more tools and ammo and targets and.... than I usually bring. A big tote would be good.

Optics Planet in US sells the Uncle Mikes pistol bag for about $22. I bought 3 of them.

Each bag has 3 zippered and lockable pistol compartments plus a main section to hold scope, ammo, glasses, etc, has a lot of small compartments, too, for screw drivers, etc.

Ordered a range bag from these guys for $54. Realized too late that they hit me with a $74. shipping charge.....W.T.F.???

I own a couple of these and they make perfect range bags.

I have one filled with my pistol stuff and the other with rifle stuff.

I know it says 39.99 for the price but they often come up on sale for $19.99.
