I think the factory barrel is 16" for the US one, so it would be 2-2.5" (depending on if they have a 16.5" barrel or dead on 16)
In any case, no big deal.
Incorrect the factory standard barrel is 18"

Me either I will be doing my best to acquire one and hopefully one for a buddy of mine.

Hey guys, notice the bolded part.
Far too often we get some self appointed expert saying that the Canadian market s too small to worry about, and that the gun makers dont care about us up here.
I call Bullchit.
Do me a favour and print off this post and staple/glue it to the forehead of the next guy that says we do not matter.
Oh , and to Vault Distribution, well done! I saw the RFB at the SHOT shaw a few years ago, and have been intriqued every since.
Good on ya!![]()
looks like a fantastic backpacking rifle!
If I remember correctly in our phone conversation he stated he has approved export permit for them. I have my doubts about more than about 10-20 getting here on this shipment though. Hopefully not a delivery promise either by Keltec cause I wouldn't put money on this if that is the case.
I'm just being very cautious here. This guy has a new website up, and 3 posts only. While ArmsEast (Walt) has been importing Stag AR rifles successfully during the hard times with the US DOS regulations. Arms East has said the US won't give Export permits. Keep in mind he had a Canadian FRT number for them a year and a half ago and Kel-Tec also told him they would do a 18.5" barrel version. Right now they are practically hand made rifles with almost no real delivery. 550 so far have been made. With the US market saying demand outweighs the supply would be the understatement of the year. Also to keep in mind it's a $1100 rifle to dealers. Arms East said they would be under 2K. $2500 seems a bit steep to me for those who are speculating.
They've spent a lot of time to do this right and we gave Kel-Tec a lot of input to Canadian Legal Requirements as well as US Export requirements (the ever changing world of...).
Most of the current legalities are with specialized paperwork requirements for these, and ensuring the best possible configs.
FRTs have been issued for Restricted and Non-Restricted Versions.
As for the Export permit, I have a feeling, if it true they got one, that it was a case of the right person had the application on their desk, and thats how it got approved. Look at the FNH PS-90. Until a few months ago they were rarer then solid gold hens teeth since the DOS would not approve their export. Now Questar brings them in regularly. Its the luck of the draw.
By the way, Vault Distribution, maybe you should look into getting a lotto ticket, you seem to be on a roll. That 50 Million would buy a lot of RFB's, which you could sell at US Prices.
