Thanks for the chuckle Demo. I have never bothered trying to hide anything from my wife. I cannot lie nor can I hold in the excitment of a new purchase.

Not that it helps, I recall the first three years of marriage, you go through the stages of this is the last one or this is for my wife or the kid. After I ran out of those she was getting pretty fiesty about the hoard growing and then being sold off again. She has finally learned it is an insatiable thirst to always try a different one and rarely does more than roll the eyes now.

Face it, you are going to get caught, pray the wrath is not too nasty and have a good alibi ready.

After 28 years of marriage...I gotta say, ours is a 50/50 relationship..;)..I pay half and she pays half into "our" RRSP...(rifle & revolver spending plan).:D..hope she don't learn too much about "our" Statements from our "Investment" banks...;)

I really know where you are coming from.

Last time my wife bothered to check I had 11 firearms.....

Last time I checked (today in fact.... I just completed the transfer on a new revolver) I have 13 restricted and 21 non.......

To get the "new safe" by the little woman I built a new "storage cabinet" for bullets and powder etc.... (or so I told her) if she would have looked inside the cabinet I built she would have seen standoffs for 16 long guns!

It sometimes gets a little sticky when trying to get one past the little woman!

^ I can remember when I only had a .30-06 and .338WM and figured I never needed another rifle.



But I always wanted a .416RM and one day I stumbled onto a used Brno ZKK-602 on consignment at P&D. And I had to have it...

And I always wanted one of those Winchester M-1895s in .405Win, so then I found one at Cabelas USA...

Then I found a M-1895 in .30-06...

Then a M-1895 in .270Win...

Had to have a Marlin M1895 Guide Gun, once they lost the idiot barrel porting...

Paul Martin convinced me to buy handguns, so it turns out that LIEberal hack did do one thing useful, while he was in office...



And so on and so on... not exactly in that order, but all of the guns I've gotten are ones I just wanted ya know?

Sure as hell can't buy 'em after I'm dead, and there will be a real nice estate sale somewhere down the road, then other guys will be happy to take these fine rifles from my cold dead hands, to steal a phrase.

My wife doesn't see the need or understand how I want these things. So I have decided to get them on the sly. What she doesn't know won't make her mad.



As to what Omega said, that I lied, well that's not the truth at all, I just haven't gotten approval for these and I've as carefully as possible, bought 'em without her knowledge. So you see, that's just not the same thing at all.
