Still No action-Whitetail.

What kind of conditions are you having during your deer season?? Ours is way off this year.

Many , many stand/ blind/forrest hunters around these parts are not getting to much to see.

The road hunters are seeing deer, but you always do when driving.

I was out yesterday and today. They were moving yesterday between 4:30 and 5:00. I missed a nice buck yesterday ( Arrrrrrrgh !!!!!!). I tried a shot at about 350 yrds. Clean miss he just kind of looked at me and then casually strolled back into the bush.

No need to give me crap about the shot. I practice a lot at these ranges and I've been at this game for while. My cheap range finder under estimated the range big time. I was back there today and took some accurate readings with another( friends Leica ) unit and my finder was almost 100 yards short. ( I think its time for an up grade :mad:)

Also, the deer were moving very early today. We saw the does come out at 3:00 but unfortunately no horns showed up

Is your finder a Bushnell?
 
we have been sitting on cut blocks and cut lines seeing lots and very little pressure on them it seems this year . they are not spooked or jumpy could have shot 20+ by now if i had tags for all of them
 
Well so far from what I have been reading, things are on time in Alberta, for deer movement, lots of guys west of the SK/Ab border see things as being slow starting this year.

We just must be better shots and the deer now realize this and are hiding!! ;)
 
Looks like the bucks are starting to travel. We're seeing some nice bucks in the dark along the hwy traveling to and from work, the last few days.

I heard about a monster the other day (like 09:00). The guy that saw it and stopped to stare, he normally doesn't care about deer at all, but he said the antlers were so big it looked like it had been photo-shopped.

Lucky me, he told me exactly where. Not like there's much chance of me getting it but ya never know.
 
One of my friends bagged this on saturday morning, his companion put two does in the bag as well.
