cool little firearm but not worth $500. you will see when you hold one.
If it's too expensive for you, dont buy it. but look into things before you go blaming the people who work hard to bring YOU A QUALITY PRODUCT!
I can"t believe with think paying double the price for a rifle is ok. As canadian firearm owners we should be pushing for fair values.
I basically consider the cost of importing a "16-inch'ed" firearm into Canada plus the cost of getting a gunsmith to rebarrel and fit to it one of 18.5 inches.......just how my mind is working regarding this....

well the prices are supposed to go down as the shipment sizes increase and whatnot, plus the first shipment carries some extra costs so it isnt unreasonable to think the price might go down to 500ish if we are lucky.
Keep in mind, that you can list multiple items on the export permit application. Exporting 50 rifles would only cost a few bucks more than exporting one (difference being 3% of total value). When you export dozens/hundreds of rifles, the permit cost is negligible.
Dealer cost in the US for the basic Sub 2000 is less than $250. How much more do you think Kel-Tec charges for a 2.5" longer barrel on a $250 gun? 10$? 20$? ...
Im willing to bet that the landed cost of these (after all the permit costs, shipping, brokerage, etc)in Canada is no more than $350.
The RFB price IS very reasonable in my opinion, considering all the bs from US state department that they had to put up with.. Sub2000 on the other hand... Not so much...
As much as i like the idea of a foldable non restricted 10rd semi, paying $750 (after shipping and taxes) for a gun that was intended to sell for $300 is outrageous.
At the current price, i highly doubt they will even sell the first shipment.
More for meAnd mine most certainly will not be $750. Buying local at $675 plus 5% GST.
So $710.....
That's like paying $50,000 for a Ford Fiesta because it needed new tires and a rear spoiler.
