Non-restricted SHTF goodness. The moment SHTF I'll be bringing out the cordless drill and going to work on the mags.

LOL what is that based on? I'd have to strongly disagree.... in a fight 30rd mags and semi auto make 5-10 rounds and a lever look like a joke.... accuracy would be at least equal or better from the average black rifle (lever's aren't known to be tack drivers anyway) and what does decisively mean in this context anyway?

You don't think first responders and the police would have better things to do with the little manpower and resources they have available? Please, you give them waayyy too much credit.
If Katrina is any barometer of a SHTF scenario, then we could suspect that some of those LEO's would simply desert the force to protect their own families and say hearty "F*ck You!" to the rest of society, others to join the looters and malcontents, and the remaining brave officers to stay at their posts to live up to their sworn oath. That leaves precious few to do the work of many.
If anything, you might possibly see co-operation with armed citizenry who chose to help maintain law & order through neighbourhood watch type situations. This is well documented in the aftermath of Katrina. I have no doubt it could potentially be the case here.
As I recalled they called in the national guard and had them confiscate all the guns.
And they don't need to go door to door. Just send out revocation notices
I would turn mine in. The government knows what's best for me and will keep me safe.
I have never seen a cop with a high capacity magazine. I have seen them with standard capacity mags.
, they're not limited to 10, right ? Actually i was first in canada for the SUB 2k (thank you wanstalls) I got mine the day after I posted this![]()
I am asking myself of the "authorities" will give us hard times with these SHTF/ gun related treads soon ?
Because we all know that a real SHTF situation will "never occur".... for them, so...
It might give them the doctrinal ammo "they" need to take away more guns...
Sounds like: The gun owners discuss end of the world on their board, talking about using guns to defend themselves ! We must all call 911 in a SHTF situation i guess...
Hellô ! ??? Is anybody over the phone !!!!????
In a shtf-non restricted scenario, a CZ858 with 4 or more mags, lots of stripper clips, etc. All you need is something reliable and capable of sending many rounds down range in a hurry. I have been on a two way firing range before and all you are concerned about is running out of ammo, and your gun going bang every time you pull the trigger. Caliber doesn't mean as much as you think because if you have any hole in you - you are in trouble.
I agree. nothing beats a CZ. For $1200 I have a cz858 non restricted, 2400 rounds of ammo, 8 mags and a full parts kit. Thats a total potential 240 loaded rounds if the rivets are out...![]()
