Rimfire Pics...Show em off!!!

This started life as a Lee-Metford .303 but was converted into a single shot .22lr trainer for the British Royal Navy and accepted into service around 1912. It's a great shooter and I've enjoyed it immensely.

A fellow I shoot with has the worst hate-on for those!!! He shot them in cadets and, while his range manners are fine, he HATES the Lee-Metford due to its weight. I gather that he was really small for his size back then.
Nice nostalgic rifle by the way.
Cheers!!

My turn, first time I have ever taken a pic of all my rimfires at once.

From the top:

  • Anschutz/CIL 310, with an older Bushnell 4200 4-16x40AO
  • Cooey Mod. 39
  • Cooey Mod. 75
  • Savage Mk.II (pre-accutrigger) that I bought for a project
  • Mossberg 151M with the original Mossberg aperture sights
  • Mossberg 140K
  • Ruger MK.III 22/45
The Mossberg 140K is the gun I learned to shoot on as a youngster, bought new by my dad in 1949. I changed out the old 4x scope for a newer Tasco rimfire model, but all else is original. It will be passed on to my sons when they are old enough to have their own licenses. Hopefully it gets passed down to their children in due time, as well.

I am planning on adding a GSG 1911 to my collection this year once I get through some bills and tax time.

Here is my Ruger 10/22 with bushnell scope and laser/flashlight also. Kind of a lousy picture because its from the website of the gun shop that I bought it from, and I have'nt taken it out for any other photo opps.

Here is my other rimfire. Its a Ruger MK II Target, that I just bought today actually. Its nothing fancy, but its solid and they have a great reputation.

Isn't the scope a bit too high? You could have used low bases because the scope is far enough from the barrel.

A big shout out to Joseph over at Dlask. He just sent out one of their oh so awesome recievers with custom serial number that says GO4SLAYR in a 17 hmr2 barrel.

... and spring gopher season is just around the corner:D
