I love all the retarded sheeple who will gladly take a good pounding blindfolded and tell others to do the same all in support of a wishy washy platform from a manufacturer with numerous QC and CS issues all in the name of having a cool looking non restricted black rifle.

The XCR is cool, but is it that cool? Let your wallet and brain decide.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

All the other stuff with RA aside, one of the issues with the XCR is that the whole thing is held together by allen bolts. You really have to check all the fastners frequently to avoid issues like this.

To the OP, if you lost the bits it should be a fairly easy fix. You just need the bolt release mech, spring and new allen bolt.

I wouldnt call it a battle rifle. Comparing an XCR to lets say an M1 Grand or an FN c1a1 would just be wrong. unless its an XCR-M you are refering to.

Rob the owner of RA said his design was battle ready.

She quit Robarm. Terra was the bees knees

Gee I wonder why she left. In that letter from Rob he completely slagged his old staff and blamed them for everything.

No ####! +1

Like Ardent said, it's just a rifle. I like my black rifles as much or more as most, and I bought one of the first 25 rifles that were imported (still have it). Maybe it's not "battle worthy" or "zombie appocolypse preparedness awesome" for some, but for the average guy, it's fine.

I know some people don't like gruff service, but I'm a little sadistic anyway, and I get a kick out of it Mr. Robinsons rants :)

First, when you call for service, be polite. If you are not polite to my staff, I guaranty you will not have a pleasant experience. Remember the old saying, "You can attract more files with honey that with vinegar." If you call with an attitude, my staff has been instructed to put you on the back burner. If you are nice and polite, you will get quicker service.

Second, please read the manual carefully. I know it's boring but there's important information there. Many people do not understand that you need to set the gas correctly for function and durability. It's really quite simple - put it on the setting that throws the brass 8 to 15 feet from the rifle for any given ammo. Do not just leave the gas system on the highest setting, If you do, for some ammo it will kick like hell, throw your brass 40 feet, give you trigger slap, and damage your recoil buffer (a cheap part).

Third, please send us the following information: ...
A complete description of the problem, BE BRIEF. If you write and essay about your vast knowledge of firearms base on your long time relationship with your AR-15, we won't read it.

Fourth, if you post a bunch of whiny petty negative stuff here or anywhere, I guaranty very slow service. I have made that a policy. Yes, we've made lots of mistakes with service but that is behind us.

Really this is what he put up man that's sad. first rule of customer service even if it's the customers #### up they are going to be pissed. Don't take it personally let them vent be on their side and find a solution you can both live with doesn't mean your giving everything away for free but find a way you both win. Be honest and forthright as to what the issue is without insulting anyone. ALWAYS remember not to take it personally no matter what.

They may or may not make a good gun but if that's the point of view in their customer service dept. they need to contract it out to people who can actually do the job. I am getting so sick of bad customer services.

Why do I keep thinking of "Joebananas" thread: XCR Rules: Your AR can't do this?

Having said that, there can be a problem with any rifle. You just hope that the manufacturer will provide prompt solutions.

I expect the XCR to have problems like this for a period of time. It is new and these types of issues will come up. That being said, I've had more screws back out on me over the years than I care to count. Loctite is your friend.

You know what's even more your friend than loctite? Rifle designs which minimize the use of screws to hold the gun together.

I don't understand the poeple that back these companies like their own children.. a company that builds a product should welcome critisism. its only going to make them a stronger/bigger/better company in the future.
