I loved my XCR until now! why did this have to happen!

im sure the OP maintains his firearms as much as the next guy, it could have easily come loose and fallen out while shooting. in my opinion such a black rifle (one designed for the navy seals no less) should NOT have friggin parts dropping off of it from screws being loose. no wonder they didnt take it, such a nice looking rifle with so many problems... it has so much potential...

yes of course, but I am just saying if it is a good black rifle you shouldnt have to tighten all of the bolts after a couple hundred rounds. thats just my 2C

but ya know camp cook you have more experience with the XCR than me, so have at 'er.
 
Of the non-restricted semi-auto military design 223 rifles available I dislike the look/feel of the HK's the most...

Bought mine used. Ran 1000rds through it with no re-tightening of screws, and with no application of locktight.

Hopefully this one persons experience doesn't turn off buyers to this awesome rifle...
 
Howcome screw and bolts are good enough to hold Indy cars,truck/trailers,jet engines,nuclear reactors,hydro electic generators,satellites,space shuttles, and bicycles together but you don't think they should be used on guns? I'm pretty sure the rod bolts in a 3000 hp top fuel engine or rocker cradle bolts in an f1 are taking one hell of a beating without coming undone....proper torque is key and locktite has it's uses. The brake callipers on your car are BOLTED on and secured with a compoud such as locktite.... How many times have they fallen off? This problem with the xcr is easily cured, I don't know how it was allowed that some left the factory in a contition that they could come loose but I'd hardly call it a design flaw. Any 12 kid with a pack of Allen wrenches and a tube of locktite could permanently fix the only problem with the xcr that I've heard about. Loose screws.... Big efin deal. I completely stripped mine, locktite'd er up and nothings come loose after 1000 rounds, 300ish were fired in -15c to -30c weather. I cleaned it twice, once before shooting and after the first 40 or so rounds. 3 cycling issues in total, 2 caused by not seating the mag and one from the case bouncing of the wall back into the chamber backwards. I'd love to hear about the other "design flaws". Are fte's,ftf's,bobs common? Trigger failures? Bolt carrier issues? Cuz I haven't heard of any. So far all I've heard about is one broken firing pin and loose screws. I'm not saying there hasn't been other problems but I haven't heard of any. I've got glocks, I hear bad stuff about them all the time. Would anyone here call glocks garbage? In regards to Robinson flat out telling you what happens if your rude, well if you are rude at a restaraunt your getting a little extra DNA in your new pasta. If I had a rude customer I'd hand him his car parts in a box and call him a tow truck. Being a #### doesn't get you far. I love my xcr. I've fondled an hk and I don't know which one, sl8 or g36, that's how much I cared for it. I've played some with ar's and the charge handle is in the most retarded place you could have put it, the bolt release is pretty cheese burgler too. The ar's charge handle is a design flaw if I've ever seen one.
 
I might also remind some that thousands of soldiers died due to a certain beloved black rifles shortcomings in Vietnam, it took years and even decades to sort them out. The reliability of the current ar platform is of little comfort to those who were shot by the enemy while trying to clear a jam in their rifle.

WOW my relatively new designed XCR-L is looking better & better all of the time...

Another thing about the mouse cartridge 223/5.56 I have now decided from my personal experiences that I will no longer shoot moving coyotes beyond 200 yards they do not have the oomph to reliably drop them quickly beyond that...

Majorly piss poor performing cartridge thats only real use should be for gophers...

I'm missing why this matters to anyone here in Canada?

I mean who cares what RA's policies are we don't deal with them we deal with the shops that supplied us our rifles or you deal directly with Wolverine...

I do not call Remington if I have an issue with one of their firearms I call Reliable in Vancouver and they deal with it...

Some of the issues that matter to some of you and the emotional spewing that is going on absolutely baffles me...

Actually it is freaking laughable at the emotions that are being spewed...

I've dealt directly with Robinson Arms. I lost one of my hitch pins. I called them, they sent me 5 of them. Free. It took about two weeks.

So... the idea that they have bad customer service is poppycock, as Terra repeatedly demonstrated in this forum while she was employed by RA.

I think people are blowing Robinson's comments out of proportion. I used to work in customer service for a company, most of whose clients were american. Some americans who get a product damaged in shipping, or with a cosmetic defect, do not react rationally. They become personally abusive, rude, threatening, etc... Until you've been on the phone with someone like this, you probably don't get what Robinson is talking about.

IF you want to get good customer service:

1) BE polite, friendly even.
2) BE reasonable in what you expect (a new rifle for a missing pin = not reasonable).
3) BE patient, sometimes it may take some time to address.
 
If the original poster is unsatisfied with the rifle and wants to get rid of it i am sure there are quite a few members who would happily purchase it from him.

Myself included if the price is right :wave:
 
geez all i was saying is a peice loosened and i lost it... And how sad i am it happened since now i have to wait for a new peice from whoever, regardless if i have to pay or not, before i can go out to shoot it some more. I haven't said a word about RA service as i havent experienced it.. This pist has gotten wayy out of hand and off topic. It's supposed to be about how sad it is a fellow gun owner cant shoot until his rifle is fixed. This is a day or mourning people!! Hahaha
