they don't upset me all, talk about "weapons" and bullet penetration, killing effectiveness all you want...in a XCR is crap post. BTW this is my second favorite site on the net, next to your mom's weapon penetration site

There you go I quoted that for you so you can't edit it...

Buddy you need to grow up or at least grow a pair because that was one of the most childish comments I have ever read on this forum...

and yes I stand by my comment to you if you don't like what you read here don't come here...

:p

How effective is the XCR vs bears?

I know, not legal, but what about WROL? :stirthepot2:

Whats WROL and it is totally legal to use an XCR-L for bear defense/hunting here in BC I even bear hunted all spring with mine and believe it or not with the 6.8 SPC upper on it is fast becoming Heidi's favorite defense/camp gun?

She actually shoots it very well and very accurately I think this is due to so little recoil she would prefer if it weighed a bit less but has no problems handling it.

I just loaded up a bunch of 223 62gr Barnes TSX loads for her so if I have the 223 upper on she now has 10 rounds in my LAR 15 mags instead of only five 6.8...

We just sold our house we were looking at Lacombe but are now moving to Chilliwack the church there does a lot of outdoor activities and are not your typical anti crowd with most of them being very happy that we would have rifles with us...

i thought it was quite humourous, indeed immature, however quite far from the most childish post ive seen. relax, mom jokes have been funny since eve, however killing effectiveness not so much

My mother is 75 years old in other words your supposed joke was out of line and the most ignorant I have ever seen.

I can see that a immature child would see it as humorous though...

Then the XCR-L must be a Ford because they are the toughest truck on the market...
I can agree with that. My Ford has been nothing but trouble since day one, never worked properly and just been a money pit. It is a great looking truck but it doesn't work for ####.

I guess we can agree on something after all.

I think we should see if this thread can out do the GSG MP5 thread in terms of posts.

This thread is a highly entertaining read.
The guys bolt catch failed, better surrender before he gets cut down by machinegun fire.
Seriously, all of our rifles here are SPORTING RIFLES and none of us are taking a SPORT RIFLE into combat anytime soon if ever.
If your equipment fails, you troubleshoot it, put it away if its done for the day, drive home, order parts and have a beer.

I'm glad we have the XCR here in Canada, because the more evil black rifles that we can take HUNTING the better. Now the RFB has arrived and hopefully soon we will see the .308 XCR so we can get even more modern type hunting rifles out during hunting season and perhaps one day the sheeple will stop sh*tting themselves when they see one.

Camp Cook, I always enjoy seeing your XCR hunting pics on this site, nice work.;)

You just pointed out the problem. The manufacturer, and the owners, of the XCR won't shut up about how the XCR is the greatest combat rifle ever made. Hell, we just had a recent thread about how it was better than the AR15.

My biggest problem with the XCR is not the rifle itself. It's all the mouth breathers who try to claim it was built by the god of war himself. If guys would just buy it, shoot it, and realize that it's a decent sporting rifle with some flaws, everything would be fine.

As proof of my issue, the next few posts will be from XCR owners insulting me because I dare say something negative about their rifle.

.

I fully understand, until that rifle actually sees combat and establishes a track record as such, getting the hell beat out of it by troops on a daily basis, the owners claims are unfounded.

I really want to try out a .308 XCR and take it hunting. Where is it already?

Not very many people on CGN are saying that the XCR is the greatest combat rifle ever made. I would say there are more people that just show up to trash the XCR then there are saying it is gods gift to war. There are many people that enjoy their rifle and get sick of the constant trashing for no benefit what so ever to the people doing the trashing.

There are some issues with the XCR for sure. When you know about them it is not hard to get the rifle to operate quite well. Guys are always saying oh you should have bought this gun etc. The funny thing is quite a few of the guns they mention I have had to fix at one point or another. No gun is perfect after all.

Maybe people who don't like it should look at it as the rifle is helping dispel the myth that you can't hunt with these evil rifles and that they can be used for more then just murder and punching paper. With that in mind maybe we can all get along.

I always tell my employees that we are the best company around even though we might not be. He is proud of what he has achieved so far. No reason to trash him over it really. I will tell you that I wasn't offended by the "Letter" at all. It doesn't effect me in the least because I wouldn't contact them acting like a complete ass. I hope we aren't going to see that letter brought up in every thread as if it is some proof that all XCR rifles should just be stopped at the border.

No insults for you. It is getting tiring when you see a thread about the XCR and you already know who is going to say what from both sides isn't it? Try to ignore some of the posts they might just be baiting you.

THIS is the problem everytime an XCR thread comes up the AR guys come in and trash it what is it are they scared of the XCR WHAT GIVES ?

I'm still waiting for an example of a newer xcr having issues besides a screw falling off. As I mentioned before all these storys of xcr failures or quality control are old and reflect little of what's being produced today. The xcr's past problems are as relevent as the AR's early years are to the AR of today.

The AR just might be gods gift to fighting arms but that only matters to 2 groups of people, soldiers and wannabe commando's. Here in canada there is one catagory the are
can't compete and the xcr comes out hands down winner over the AR... A bush gun. I mean really it must take a real special type of person to get all web geared up to go punch paper.

I know the xcr has some competition in the bush gun department but for me it's easy. I'm not a fan of science fiction and the tavor looks too starwars for me I also has a sharty trigger, I like hitting my target so cz is out, I also like 10rnd mags so the Swiss is
out also and what ever else is left I don't even know the names of because they interest me that little. In fact I don't care for the whole "black rifle" cult at all. I simply like a reliable, comfortable, accurate, semi auto rifle and the xcr fills that slot.

This time tomorrow while you AR guys are putting on your face camo and lacing up your combat boots to head to the range, I'll be in a convoy of 4x4's heading up he mountain to play in the snow, so the girls can play with my xcr and get that tingly feeling in thier pants. Yes picture this, a bunch of hot early 20's broads, good tunes, big fire, snow, good friends and a pile of guns. Don't you wish you could do that with an AR??? Oh wait you can, with the AR180, but wait.... Don't they often crack at the pin pivot??? Has everyone forgotten????

Let me guess, sparky: You vote NDP or Liberal, and were overwhelmingly happy when the AR-15 became Restricted - right?

Gloating over the inappropriate legal status of a rifle sure says a lot about your character.

My problem is not the rifle as I have never even handled one but with with the owner him self.

I read the statement that his issued to my wife, who has been a business manager for over 13 years, and her first works after reading it was " That took a lot of guts to say that, very stupid but gutsy".

She added that just recently she had a client come in to the office, spitting fire about a problem he had with an agent that's apart of my wife's team, and he wasn't nice about it at all. "My first job at that point is to make the customer happy, win him back over and to make right whatever the problems were." she stated.

To make a long story short by the time it was all done, not only did the customer get what he wanted, he apologized for his behavior and bought my wife a gift card to a classy Greek restaurant as a "thank you" for everything that she had done for him.

She also added that he "Owner of RA" made a remake about "attracting more fly with honey" that he should take his own advice and try the same approach with his customers as if there aren't any, he will have no company to run.
