Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

This is from another thread in here but figured it belonged in here too. This was my very first gun I ever owned. Father bought it for me 15 years ago and I only paid $75 for it. Don't know much about it. I have got varying "quotes" of whats it worth.

I tried to get photo's of all the markings on the barrel and action but the camera couldn't focus on them.

the barrel says its a "Fca LAURONA-FIRAR"
there are a ton of markings undernieth of it too. choke 14.9-15.8 the other 15.2-15.8, 1250Gmc then either a "5" or an "s", AvC,850KGS, plus a whole bunch of symbols which i can't make any sense of. The only thinkg I know is the markings 20-70. I think this means 20 gague and 70mm? Which is 2 3/4'. Right?

the action: has symbols on it. 3 actually.

1. Is a shield/crest with an "X" in it with a knights head above.
2. looks like 2 bells making a cross with a "2" in the middle
3. is another shield/crest with either "BP" or "8P" with and sideways "0" undernieth it.

I'm not sure if this ID will help any but it would be nice to know what exactually I go! LOL.

You have a Laurona, and a pretty nice condition one as well.
These guys will be able to give you a wealth of info!:)

To say I was impressed would be an understatement , for sure- pleasantly surprised would be a bit better!:p
Like my buddy said " WOW! silde lips that really ARE side lips!!"
They are very well fitted, and the ctoss bolt and Anson and Deeley release are very good.
it will be interesting to see how it works out.
Did yu get yours from Tradeex?
Cat

Yep. Bought it from Tradex about 2 1/2 years ago. I quite enjoy the Husky 16 ga. I bought from them, too. I can carry that round action all day!

A nice pair

I'm new here and this will be my first post. Just took some pix of my newly acquired 28bore AYA and my trusty 16bore LC Smith.

There's nothing quite like looking down the ramp between 2 pipes! :)

Glad to have you aboard. Two very nice guns you have there.

An auspicious first post, if ever there was one.

Welcome.

how many in here actually take out and use there doubles>? I for one take my 20 out all the time. ducks, bunnies, pheasant is pretty much it. I have put alot of miles and blind time in with my baby.

Same here, only I take a pump or a single shot out for a spin on rare occasions. I sold my last semi last year and doubt that I'll ever buy another.

I sold my last O/U last year and don't think I will buy another. I love sxs's for Hunting. And now I have a special place for Win. SX-1's. I rarely use a pump gun for anything anymore as I find most of them "clunky", like a cheap O/U.
Mind you if a pristine Mod. 31 TC Rem. came along I wouldn't hesitate.
It's funny how our tastes change.

Great thread! Just noticed it...
Will post a few more when my computer is back from repair but here's what I got for now!

Nice Darne pre war WW2 gun! what length barrels on that beauty? If anyone know where there is a singleshot English/German quality boxlock or sidelock hiding in any gauge, please PM me here as my friend James won't sell me his Tolley, haha, great post and pictures!

it is a beauty. Sadly, it don't belong to me anymore . I have sold this one cause I could'nt really find a use of a 10g and mostly cause it was chambered 2 3/4''. And since I dont reload yet , well... But I kind of regret it!...
On the other hand, I found another nice one in 12g and I just love it!

I'll post some more pics of the two when my pc is fixed. If it's fixabale!?...

Pc is back with brand new power supply!
So as promessed, here are some more pics of the 10g P17 Darne I posted yesterday:
