another thing if it is the land owner him self out there . trying to protect his hay crop from all the deer that yard up at his place then more power to him .if i feed them then i eat them sounds right to me DUTCH

if you are going out to check on this person to make sure he is not poaching, you are not INTENDING to interfere with a legal hunt. (Eg coyotes) you intention is to make sure he is not poaching. Slight but important difference.

You should research the presumption of innocence.

I guess a lot of poachers hang out here, want me to get this hunters number so all you BAD hunters can hug each others nuts? I say bulls$€t he's yote hunting.

Heard a hunter calling in deer today on the wooded property behind my house, I suspect its the owner or his buddy, season closed 18 days ago! Should I call on this poacher? How far would a bow hunter have to hunt from my house to be legal? There are a lot of houses backing onto this wooded area. Thanks

I say mind your own business unless you see him dragging out a deer or are you one of those guys that phones the cops every time you get passed by a sportbike too!!!!

then quit #####ing and make the call.........but for your sake I hope he is poaching and is not a vengeful type seeing as he knows who you are now......

or then again mebbe he'll report you to the land owner for tresspassing......

and another whiner goes on IGNORE

Whoa Whoa Whoa there bud!!!!

A bit over excited in this post as you are in your OP. You are full of assumptions bases on what? A little too much of THE LITTLE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF IMO! When you have evidence instead of assumptions then make the call.Until then leave people be.

If he is poaching so be it, take the necessary action. If you suspect something , use the tools available to you to deal with it (conservation officers).Don't go provoking a situation. I am not approving or disapproving of his actions just make sure you know what you are doing.

The reason I say this, is that I have the almost exact situation where I hunt. Some person(s) have taken objection to where I am hunting. It is crown land, my stands and baits are properly and legally identified, but because someone doesn't like me hunting there, or wanted the spot for themselves , they have taken it upon themselves to make sure I am thoroughly monitored, and also will stroll through my spot all on their own to see what is up.

I do not appreciate this either. If I was poaching then yes, I deserve what punishment I get.

You are walking a fine line, just make sure you know all the facts. :)

If I'm anti hunter you must be pro poacher!

What you aren't is a good neighbour! Ever think to ask? A little friendliness can go a long way. If you are indeed wrong, do you really want to be known as THAT GUY?

Chances are, if he was poaching he would try to hide it, which doesn't seem to be the case. If he is there tomorrow after knowing you seen him today, it would look like he isn't a poacher. Maybe then you could quite stalking him!

I knew he was hunting all fall and that never bothered me, but season is over and that does.

Wow, sounds like a personal grudge thingy & that this guy's been cutting into your kitchen for some time now. Fish or cut bait, poop or get off the pot as they say,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I know someone who calls game all the time and has no hunting licence. He does something called .............ummmm ......wild life photography.

Have you seen him with a bow after the season has closed? There is a ditinct possibility he is trying to arrow a coyote...if he doesn't have a bow he may be trying to take pictures...as others have said try meeting him...maybe out at his truck or something...don't go wandering over to his stand while he is in it even if you see him with a bow, in case he is after yotes....

People that phone the law before they have a hot clue what's happening are never popular...
