Anyone know the MSRP for this rail? is it as good as the Knights Armament brand?

What about the copies made for Airsoft guns?? would anyone use those on their rifle?

Thanks guys

OK, so would the anodizing make any more difference in strength or just finish?
Has any one tried the fit and finish of the airsoft part?
If its just a hand guard...and you use your site rail for the optics...what would be the downfall to using one of these copies?

Nothing really. People just frown on the idea of using airsoft parts on an expensive firearm. If I could find an airsoft copy of the KAC rail in rifle length, I'd purchase it in a heartbeat, but I can only find the K and C length. All it needs is the pin hole drilled to make it fit. I say, go for it.

"g36" airsoft parts will fit closely on the real thing. my friend has a G36 airsoft and we tried a few of the parts.
the front hand guard does fit on an sl8 but the pin hole dosnt quite line up. the pin is able to slip through tightly (using a tack hammer) if a small amount of plastic is removed from the upper front portion of the airsoft hand guard.
also, a short g36c hand guard isnt made to have to fit over the gas block on the longer sl8 barrel so its front opening would have to be milled to clear the gas block.

the top rails screw holes do line up except for the middle hole. it is off by about 1/4" and could be re drilled if you were willing to drill a 2nd hole next to the existing one on your SL8.

as for the stock fitting your conversions stock block, the stock block (mine anyways) uses about a 3/16" roll pin to hinge and attach the stock. the airsoft stock has about 1/4" holes so you would have to re-size the stock blocks holes and use a bigger roll pin, or sleeve the airsofts holes back down to fit the 3/16" roll pin. otherwise, it looks like it would pop right on.

^ there is a short upper rail identical to those pictured there on e-bay right now in aluminum

IF anyone has bought this rail...post your findings here... I have heard these do not fit as well or true for mounting a good scope.
The mounting holes are just a bolt that threads through without the proper Ushaped washers....

Well let us know if this works.....the price is a big plus but only if they work...
