Peter you are SOOOO off base it is incredible. I am not being sarcastic at all.

YOU are more than FREE to run your own match. I would certainly be there to shoot it and help if you needed it.

I appreciated your stage you submitted for last years charity match........but as far as I know that is the ONLY stage you have ever done let alone a match or TEN YEARS OF MATCHES! for that matter.


To DARE to compare this situation with the GV situation would be laughable if it were not so damned insulting.

I take exception to what HAPPENS at GV because it is WRONG. Morally and ETHICALLY WRONG. If this were GV I would have punted you for having the audacity to disagree with me. The fact that I do not and more importantly WOULD not should speak volumes.

OK,

I neither shoot IPSC, IDPA, nor PPC. But I did shoot Cowboy Action Shooting for years, and that involves two holstered pistols. Does that mean that until I recieve a holster qualification from either IPSC or PPC to shoot in this match?

If so, oh well. No time and no real need to do either.

My response to his suggestion was that it would be a great stage for HIS match but that our stage design concepts were complete. Nothing Ballistic about that what so ever. I do question how fair it would be to require people to adjust turrets or conduct hold overs on a borrowed rifle.....but they that is just me.


Now......comparing me to the operators of GV. That is another matter.

Well, maybe it is just me, but response like that I read like buzz off withh your suggestions and go run your own matches. I dont know why you do that, maybe you feel like it would create more good matches, but I feel like you turning people down.

Maybe people just get tired of having armchair commando's telling them when and how to run matches?

Very few people step up to host a match, and it involves a ton of work. To then turn around and have people say "you shoulda done this" or "you coulda done that" is pretty insulting.

The more appropriate response to just to say thank you and move on. if you think the match should be held in a different fashion, host your own....then you'll have full control.

(Then you can listen to all the people offer up an opinion that you don't care about and having a better appreciation of where Storm is coming from)

They are helping with the match by their participation (and I know from experience how upset storm gets when his matches are not fully attended). So, calling people who making suggestions is at least as insulting. Please think about that.

Oh, and by the way, stepping up to host the match is quite more involved then just stepping up. Not all clubs will even give you time and there is lots of restrictions on top of that.

Maybe the next match should just be open forum then? Everyone who shoots can have a say in how the match is setup and shot.

I is a possesive term..........as in he as an individual.

As in he WILL make such a stage in HIS Future match.

I then welcomed his future plans...........

If he has said........."You should" ........that would be a suggestion and would be taken as such. Of course his suggestion would be disgarded in this particular case as it is totally unworkable with borrowed equipment and not everyone has a 300m dialed in sniper rifle which is of course the genesis of this whole issue.

May I be so bold as to say..............SO! Those are part and parcel of the "choices" I pointed out above. One cannot make certain choices and then blame those choices for the results of those same choices. It is an abdication of responsibilty.

I do not recall EESA ever......in the past 13 years that I have been an active member EVER refusing to host any event that was ever proposed to it.

Who has been insulted by missused words?

Certainly not I.

I do not know that there were in fact any missused words.

I was and am insulted by PURPOSEFUL words........of that you can be certain.


How am I to tell when someone is missusing words? Is there some special font? I read what is written AS is written. If someone later determines that they were in error.........then the matter is looked at under the new light of that information. As such we must proceed under the understanding that Peter was talking about a Future match that he was organizing.

Either that or we would never really be able to judge what he said in any post without a guidebook.
Peter's grasp of the English language is simply not that bad IMHO.

what would be the legalities of using a dewated pistol in a trophy case be.....and where would one get something like that if it is possible? I want to make something like this as a trophy prize, winner gets to take it home for a year, but must return it with free admission to the event next year type of thing.
