I feel like I killed the thread with my comments, sorry guys I didnt mean to kill the mood here! Im really stoked to see how the 375 performs and was hoping to see some more pics or feedback on it. :HR:

The 375 Holland & Holland has performed well for a long long time. The 375 ruger has not. Longevity usually tells the story.

The 375 ruger will go the way of the 25 WSSM (or whatever they call it).

In other words if you want a Classic Rifle in a Classic Cartridge buy a Holland & Holland. If not buy a ruger. But if you do, save your brass.

This is a useless thread! This like discussing the diferrence between Chevy and Ford, no one wins! Dale Z.

All discusions of differences and opinion are a mark of a semi free country!

The NEW KING shares similar performance as the H&H (although in a more compact, updated case) so anything that has worked for the H&H can be applied to the NEW KING.

One of the great things about the NEW KING is that sales volumes of rifles have been so overwhelmingly huge. This ensures a good supply of ammo and brass, for a very long time. Probably the next 100 years or so. But you probably don't have to worry about 100 year supply, since you will probably be dead.:)

Thats why I now have 2 Kings, gotta use my brass supply up somehow.
Doubt if I'll live to make 100.... thats only 45 years away.... :)

that would be something seeing that at the present time savage doesn't have any 375 h&h listed on there site. looks like there going with the new KING :dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

its been a few years since Ive been around the gun but I remember the shell getting stuck as it entered the chamber, we tried crimping more to smooth the end of the case but it still did it, *sometimes*. Probably was a simple fix, the Model 70's are generally a good rifle

Depending on the vintage, some of the newer 70's had quality control issues that would make a Norinco proud. I cut my big bore teeth on a pre64 375 H&H M70. That was a big, heavy gun, but smooth as butter and a darn good shooter. Fun as hell on rabbits! I have been watching Pauls for awhile now, just trying to figure out which nut I can spare as a down payment. Any good 375 is just downright fun to play with.
