Two hours until my Kel-Tec RFB is here... Photos at Posts 11, 13 & 36

Jay - maybe there's an infraction for this one being posted before yours arrives... ;-)

I'm trying to come up with some BS reason to hand out civeng's infraction now... Argh! Lucky Buggar!!! I just checked the Post Office & the scum bag delivery guy went back to the depot with the packages rather than drop them off!!! ARGH!!!

Now, that being said, that is one ###Y American Made Rifle with American Made Mount & Rings and an American Made Scope! Thumbs up for supporting our southern brothers!!!

Cheers
Jay

I thought K-TEL was out of business years ago!

I take it you'd prefer it in wood? I would LOVE to get my hands on an Enfield EM2, but other than that quite literally impossible alternative, this is the best bullpup moose rifle the market has to offer.

But nice try at :stirthepot2: there ben huckchuck... :D

Okay, so just for everyone's info; This thing comes with CRAZY tight little metal retention strips for the sling. Nearly impossible to get on, as the strap is one of the heaviest I've seen since the Lee Enfield No 4 Mk 1.

Congrats...now the fun begins finding that perfect round to run through it (mine really doesn't like reloads very much but absolutely loves the PRVI stuff...thankfully it's fairly economical).

I thought the FRB had an A2 style flash hider? Is the barrel threaded?

Not the RFB-C made for Canada... No flash hider, 18.5 inch barrel instead of 18 and chambered in 308 Win not 7.62 Nato... All requirements to get it exported out of the States.

Now, that being said, it's an easy 'fix' to get the barrel threaded & have a flash hider or muzzle brake installed. Not sure if I am going to do mine up... Still undecided...

A "triplet is born... ;) Glass installed... Notice, NO BUIS!!! It didn't fit!!! At least not without allowing the rear BUIS to hang over the rail in a way I didn't like...

And, with the exception of the mag, this is a great little rifle folks! Now to free up some range time!

Cheers
Jay
P.S. My issue with the mag is that the floor-plate is NOT the original one, I'm gonna have to file it to fit OR see what Lanz or Vault will do about it... After all, a rifle costing $2400 bucks "should" come with a mag who's floor-plate fits, shouldn't it...

How's the height of the optic with the Arms mount? Finding just the right height seems to be the hard part. Mine works with high rings from some manufactures but I think extra high is better.

By the way I do recommend the bottom rail for this rifle. It just seems to suit the rifle and make the forend feel more substantial.
