Two hours until my Kel-Tec RFB is here... Photos at Posts 11, 13 & 36

Anyhow, barrel length is 1/2 inch longer (18.5in.) thus the overall rifle length is 1/2in. longer

I have never actually pulled out the tape and measured, but I would actually expect the Canadian version to be a fraction of an inch shorter. Despite having gained an extra 0.5" of barrel length the Canadian version has lost the ~1 inch the flash hider took up.

And no offense to anyone, I was just as excited when I got mine... but what is with all the 'unboxing' photos lately. I say lets see less cardboard and more optics, etc.

I received mine about 2 orders ago, and it came with the dedicated 5 round magazine... so it's interesting to see the changes in package contents... nice that it's actually a box instead of a blue plastic bag that the Tavor came in...

Lol... I didn't know that about the Tavor, but it *feels* very Israeli to me. Straight off the production line, ready for the troops... I can see it now:

"Oh! This one's going to Canada? What the meshugana am I going to put this in?" (Reaches for the garbage bags)

I'm with Lloyd, however I have pulled out the tape measure: Exactly 27" long, 11 1/4" tall and 2" (typ), with 3 1/4" (peak) width.

Nice rifles gents. Keltech is making some fine products these days. Damn I want one now.. I will wait a bit until they are a little more available, and my funds are in order. Would love to see some video of that little beast .

Was referring to buying and importing the American version which is 18" barrel, 1/2" short of our non-rest 18.5" min.

The USA won't allow export of the 18 inch barrels with flash hiders, I guess you could get an 18 inch barrel version with NO flash hider, but I don't see the point in importing a Restricted version...

Cheers
Jay

Agree, I was trying to clarify a previous post stating there was no point in trying to import a US version as the barrel is 1/2" too short making it restricted. Wonder if there's any way to get one with a 18.5" regular (non-flash) barrel from the States.

Anyone know who has the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 9mm in stock?

Nobody stocks them; they are off the shelves many months in advance. The only way to get one is to find a used one for sale (unlikely) or put your name on the wait list with one of the Kel-Tec dealers. A complete list of dealers can be found on Vault Distribution's (the importer) website. The above applies to any Kel Tec firearm.

I am still waiting on a plentiful supply of reliable magazines for these. Any place selling good 5/20 mags or 5/10 or 5 rounders?

Here's what it looks like with a 5/10 rounder mag. I do these myself, but anyone with some mechanical ability should be able to do it also, with the right tools. I'll see about putting a tutorial together, when I have time. You need a 20 rounder to start with though.
