The IPSC world council has taken the game so far from it's original form and intent that it is barely recognizable except for the name. Living next to the U.S. of A. and USPSA it is easy to see how far IPSC has strayed as USPSA has endeavored to stay close to it's origins.

Canada should fall under USPSA. You guys are obviously so miserable about being part of IPSC which has lost its way, and you're sick and tired of putting up with Vinny and the other people who are running IPSC into the ground, just give them the finger and tell them to shove it!
With USPSA you get your headed targets back you get better divisions with 10 rounds and other benefits. USPSA does everything right the way you guys want, but IPSC gets everything wrong. What are you waiting for? You're not chicken are you?
How many times can you get banned? Everyone knows IPSC and USPSA are different organizations. You can tell by the spelling. You got it wrong like you often do here at CGN.

To fully understand what you have just say, you will need to participate in few USPSA Area matches. IPSC is constantly changing. I like changes, but do we need so many of them, are they making our sport better? all they do is create more confusion and costing people more money to adapt to new every day changing IPSC life.

You can still use Shadow, don't worry.
The controversy was due to no way of bringing DA to 4# while having 3# SA at the same time with Shadow. With 13# main spring installed, and no other slicking done to the gun, DA should be around 8# and SA around 4-4.5#.
Thing is, the lower the numbers are the better (within reason). With newly proposed rule of 2kg (4.4#) DA and 1kg (2.2#) SA minimums, Shadow will comply with 13# main spring (which is a factory part in some factory CZ guns that are on Prod list).
Also, USPSA Prod Div has no trigger pull weight limits and those guys usually tune SA on Shadow to 1.5-1.75#.

I for one would be happy to see IPSC in ON/Can go away. In the time l have been shooting the rules have constantly changed, for me the topper was mag length, then targets, the list goes on. I think we should abopt USPSA shooting, in ON as for those who shoot the World's US shooters seem to survive.
I was shooting a 1942 colt 45 in standard and then they came up with a rule that my 10 round mags were no longer permitted. I know I know my 1942 colt 1911 was putting all of you guys at a disadvantage that the rules had to be changed. You all had to stick me with 8 round mags in order to keep up with the 1942 colt.
Now I was forced to switch and a chose a production gun a tanfoglio stock 2 and I am being told that I may have to switch again?

First we all but ban 1911 shoots with the mag restriction...
In my area, those that didn't quit purchased production rigs that now will probably force them to spend more money on equipement (or quit).
The minor PF in open really makes sense; if you make comps and barrels. Sounds like steelMaster sales would go up as well...
As for the poppers, well lets just make the few match directors left lives a little more difficult...

Your stock 2 and CZ shadow are fine....the trigger pull for DA is 2kg, and the SA is 1kg, or 2.2lbs. You are well above either. The popper thing is gonna be shot down I think...but it would not hurt to let your provincial reps know your dislike of that proposal.
I would like to see the small and large IPSC targets used together in a stage...just saves times and does not harm any animals.
