2011 CGN Saskatchewan gopher shoot. Thanks to everyone for coming!

LOL, there is a map and there was a sign that was buried in 10 feet of grass. It wasn't that hard to find.

Won't be bad if you get lost cause near the end, when people start getting their lack of shower stank on, we will be easy to locate.

Will there be a map or something drawn up for us newbies?

Just drive East (or West I suppose) until you see a half blown down cardboard sign taped to a road sign in Tompkins. Turn North until you reach the corner where the granary used to be, approx 20 kms, Then turn right. Stop when you reach a bunch of soaked and frozen quasi hunters shooting marshmallows from the safety of a tarp city.

Ahh, memories. I can't wait to get there.

I cant wait either! I had to to work last year, but that sounds like the 22 hours i spent there the year before. Shot gophers with you and our wife for about 20 mins. Then driank under the tarp by the fire and watched the snow fall...

I don't think im going to go crazy with the toys this year. Brnging my 10/22 ( I hate leaving home without it) a .22-250, and a .22 magnum. Maybe my 7-08 and the old Rem 1100. but thats about it.

I might brong my a quad from my parents farm this year though. Will i need it or will it just take up space?

Yeah, that snow was something else. Last year it was the wind that tried to do us in. I think that this year we're due for some beach weather.

The funny thing is that every year we spend more time around the fire than anywhere else and that is where the real fun is. That said, I'm a little worried that there will be very few gophers this year. I'd better bring extra beverages and party favours.

Everyone that comes through the store is saying they've seen lots both manitoba and scratchnwin. I think the naysayers are greedy and hogging them all, hoping to discourage out of towners!

I'm bringing a bottle of rum just like last time. If we all went just to shoot gophers it wouldn't be nearly as much fun.

Looing forward to the campfire time for sure.

Down you go!!

The first PM has gone out to those who requested to attend. If anyone who has attended in the past not recieved one speak up here or PM me. I need to know who is coming and to make room. If anybody else who is new to the shoot still wants to attend let me know and I'll try to squeeze you in. Thanks.

I just put together my new instant hard on tent. It's not the mansion I'm used to but it'll do. Anyone know where I can buy a 5 piece tent pole?

You know what. I don't think I'm going to camp too close to someone who's bringing and instant hard-on tent. It sounds like you added another wing to your (already huge) tent to accommodate your wet dreams.

I sure hope Kelly has set up a shower system.
