Ok here it comes! I am tired of hearing all those horror stories about XCRs falling apart all the time.
Obviously there are cases where things break (including mine) but what needs to be determine is:
- what breaks
- how often does it breaks
If that is known, one can either get/make better parts or replace them before they break or carry spares. Whichever suits best.
We are not talking "screw came lose" here. Everybody can fix that with loctite. We are talking "Something broke".
Most issues I have heard of are related to the trigger. If that's the case then that is nothing a few laser cut or CNC machined hardened steel parts couldn't fix...
If there is enough demand I could even think about making a small series of those parts (assuming that copyright and liability issues can be sorted out).
So please lets hear about cases where your rifle broke or where you directly witnessed it and knew exactly what broke. Links to internet posts will do to. But not the story about the guy whose XCR kept breaking in a competition. For all I know that could be 20 stories of the same guy. NO HEARSAY.
