AK47 or ...

Speckfire's folder looks like the one I used to have (I can't be trusted with them now, I'm just not as responsible as I was at 19 ) the ultimate accessory for "Che chic" - much more fun with a full 30 rounder, and just pounding them out downrange. Ah, the good old days (except for the bruise off that stock)

Heres my AK56 in 7.62x39
Thats Russian AK47 wood is actually far better looking in person. The bakelite mag is also not a match with the bakelite grip, but was the closest I could find at the time.

We are allowed to have SKS's and we are allowed to have CZ-858's which look almost identical to an AK but we are not allowed to own an AK plus they all take the same round?...you would think if they were restricted to 5 rounds and available only in semi auto they would be acceptable....oh well maybe someday.

My thoughts are the same. I mean, if made semi-only, pinned mags, etc, they are pretty much what we have now. (I don't want to say anything that will get some anti's reading this (I know they scour the web for any ammo for their "battle" against us evildoers lol), but I know there are obviously full-auot variants of the CZ's worldwide, and even a few in Canada brought back as war souvenirs/trophies... yet, the semi only version is ok for us to have).

If the AK's were non-restricted as semi only version, I'd pick one up right away. They aren't expensive, shoot cheap ammo, and last a few lifetimes!

Agreed, they would be a very popular selling item and would be great for taking to the Range or Gun Club. The AK is known for their rugged tough design they never wear out.

(If anyone has a line on a metal railed foregrip for an AK drop me a PM) .. the TDI Isreali crap is garbage. I have a few others that want a face-lift.

Im thinking that they will eventually have a new Czech mail order to share the safe with ;)[/QUOTE]

CZ-858? What CZ? I've never seen one, let alone owned one..... *starts digging hole out behind some farmer's barn*

I am hoping they go the gun-friendly route...We could always suck up to the Conservative's love for America! "Well the US has semi-AK's, and they can hunt with AR's too! Look at them! They're awesome...come on...we know you want to be just like them! ;) "

I heard that they want to make the CZ Prohib and i have been holding off buying one for that reason, it will be a shame if they do.

Eventually they want to make single shot 22 shorts, prohib as well. Don't let their wishes determine your actions, or they win. I barely use my non-restricted 858, and could really use the money, the threat of it being prohibitted is the main reason I hang on to it. I also really doubt right now, would be the time for a bunch of guns to switch classes, so long as we keep the CPC's feet to the fire, and remind them who props up whom, we should be good for the foreseeable future.

And if it's time to bury your guns, it's time to dig them up.

I have 2 SKS's and plan to buy another shortly so i worry about them getting reclassified but i have my fingers crossed that they won't ...i feel better that the Conservatives are at the Helm.
