So we will be expecting the .380 version in or around Oct-Nov??????

September

But who carries 9mm mak regularly for those that do not reload? I want one in 380 but would take one in 9 mak if I had a good supply of ammo.

Mark

both Ruag and Century Arms will bring Barnaul made 9x18 Makarov ammunition.

Westrifle started importing ammo from Novosibirsk and I hope interested in bringing both 9x17 (.380ACP) and 9x18.

Are these maks will have chromme lined barrels or not, does any one know?

No

Just ordered this little beauty in anticipation... ;) Pearce grips = Makarov awesomeness.

Call us or email at order@westrifle.com

Cheers

This is getting dumb. Bring...in...cheap...Russian...Wolf...ammo.

I have always wanted a small pistol chambered for something little and relatively uncommon. Makarov fits the bill pretty well. Plus the price is good, especially if you pre-order.

As far as ballistics they are pretty much identical though the X18 is a bit faster. Mak brass can be formed from 9mm luger brass which is basically free, the downside being that it uses an oddball .364 diameter bullet. I have found that .380 is stocked at more shops but all I have spoken with can bring in S&B ammo without much trouble.
