Kel Tec SU16F review

I picked mine up today and played with it a little.

My impressions are, its a decent lightweight, AR-magged, compact, 223 gun.

Its definetly feels different, but it should, mine came in at exactly 5lbs, 4 ounces with both empty mags.

With my rings and scope it came in at 6 lbs, 4.6 ounces!!! very light!

Accuracy testing was interesting, my handloaded 55 grn V-Max loads proved the best (even over my 69 grn benchrest loads I shoot .25-.5" groups all the time with) I ended up getting a .93", .99" and 1.1" 3-shot groups @ 100 measured yards with them, all in a row for repeatability. Groups with American eagle, S&B, and all my 55 grn fmj sucked.... like 3"+. For some reason it liked the flat base 55 grn V-max with 25.0 grs Varget in the case.

I took the front sight off, and will either figure out a way to thread it, or adapt a flashider on tastefully.

I will add some pics and my short crappy youtube review.

I think you meant pounds instead of ounces. :D

How many rounds in each group?

Thanks for posting a review.

~1" groups at 100yards??
3shot groups should be fine, how many times you going to shoot more than 3shots in a row while coyote hunting.

Very excited now.

Help me understand why threading will be adventaigous? Other than having a break, or muzzle flash?
Personally I just like the look of a flash hider. Flash hiders, muzzle brakes, and maybe one day, suppressors.

Is there enough exposed barrel for threading ahead of the front sight?

Alright, so I'm under the impression that only a few came in on this shipment, as my name was on a pre-order list and never got called yet...

What is the lead time on when the next batch?

OR better yet, anyone have these in stock still?

105 Post later and we have our first table top review & thank-you P-J for such an in depth review.
This rifle defenatly make me want to own 1 after the review except for the fact that the barrel isn't threaded. Vault if you are reading can the next shipment into Canada stop by Dlask like you did with the RFB's for threading and flash hidder instaltion please.
