Kel Tec SU16F review

Ya the AR stock is way more sturdy. Although you do loose the colapsing feature. Although I found if you slap a mag in the rear stock you do not have this issue as bad. As for the sling they do sell the loop pin for single point slings or you can get the railed hand guard and use them together. But besides that and the sight's I don'y have any other griep's. As for having 2 trigger's ya it is great cuz if I want to take it backpacking I slap the orignal stock on it and if I want to go plinking I put the AR stock on it.

Satain, are you aware of any dealers who will be bringing in the red lion? That is a wicked fore end!!
Nope but I do know that that hopefully if enough people bug our local manufactores that they will start to make the aftermarket hand guards for us. But who knows how many are actualy in Canada right now. I would hedge a guess at 100 or less so it probaly won't be for a little while yet before we see any aftermarket parts. Thatz why I am debating to get the plastic railed handguard from KelTec to tie me over for a bit.

Thanks for the tip. What about a gasblock? can we replace it with the one with front sight, like the US models..?

I'll bet if we gathered financial commitment from 10-15 people, a manufacturer such as Dlask may be interested in producing something..
At least I hope so

alright.. got a 3-9 Burris Timberline for it... Here she is with an older brother :)

Wolverine has said they'll look into getting red lion fore-ends. Red lion already told me they won't ship to Canadians.

Hello Ryan,
Thank you for your order. However, we can not ship to Canada due to ITAR.
I am really sorry that we do not, at this time, have an importer in
Canada to direct you to. We did check with an exporter of firearm
products due to interest from previous customers from Canada, but the
expense of exporting just a few products was several hundred dollars and
therefore not feasible. Thanks again for your interest in our products.
I will be refunding your money thru (FRAUD ALERT) in just a few minutes. If you
have any questions please let us know.
Thanks
Jason

Can I please see the bolt, spring arrangement?

I don't have an SU-16 yet so I can't help with pics of my own, but I found a pic of the bolt/piston assembly:

And here's a site with a step by step disassembly and reassembly of the "B" model (should be close enough since the guts are the same). Scroll down to step 6 for pics showing the removal of the gas tube, piston head and spring from the piston/bolt carrier assembly.

Ladies, a word of advice, If you're looking for quick release pin for your SU16 forget Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Rona, NAPA, Princess Auto, just save yourself the aggitation and time, find your local Brofasco parts supplier and boom! I'll take some pics tonight here are the specs if you go in before I post a pic: 1/4 diameter 1 inch in length. I'll post a picture tonight for anyone who wants to waste their time with other stores full of idiot employees!!!!!

PS: I kind of don't like the forend look so might be willing to sell my forend, I paid $69 + Tax and thats what I'd like to get for it, I'll pay the shipping. I know this isn't the EE just putting it out there that I might be interested in selling it.

More I handle my "SUshka" more I like it , whith the scope that low I find it super comfortable, also quick and easy to shoulder/aim...

Thanks for the tip, I was thinking about going and getting that pin, And I'm with you on a handguard part, hate the looks of it, should be longer both ways..
