PDW builds - Lets see them, and share results

Sit back and relax, THIS is how a PDW is done. ;)

Best thing is, this one is in 300 Whisper so there is no loss of ballistic efficiency because it can still push a 200gr bullet to 1000 fps even with the 7.5" barrel.

If 9mm is more your flavour then this little beast is the way to go.

I so farking wanna try that!

Upper was done/assembled at Dlask. Parts are from the EE Forum. Built last year. Troy MFR-C rail was cut to put the Adam Arms Piston conversion flushed with the handguard. 40 rounds fired and no issues. Lower is my old and beat up LMT. I spray painted it with AlumaHyde, didn't turn out as nice but did the job of hiding the scratches. Barrel is a Walther Lothar 8.5 inch, 1 in 7 twist. Surefire MB is a little long for my taste, but functions well. Will have to swap it next time to another MB.

Well I thought I might as well add to this thread...

It a Swiss made Brugger & Thomet TP-9 9mm pistol, high quality - built like a Swiss watch.

Yes but you can't have one in 9mm cause the 9mm requires a buffer and the PDW stock eliminates the buffer.

Darn it! Back to the drawing board I guess.

Just out of curiosity how did you manage to eliminate the buffer for the 300 whisper? Feel free to direct me to an already existing thread, I've been trying to find the info.

Thanks for the info.

My final version of a PDW - yes granted it is 7.62x51. however it does have a short enough barrel in my book to qualify as a PDW :p

haha, that's almost twice the size and weight of some of the other guns in the thread.
Nice setup though.

The XCR looks so much better as a shorty. :) The full length rifles are too gangly and I find them just a bit ugly.

Well that would be a trade secret which is why they are paying me for it. :) Lets just say it took a bit of out of the box thinking to make it work properly.

They should be available for sale later this year.
