1760 yard shoot, its a go. 25 shooters signed up.

Long range forecast say rain on friday the 23rd but clear skies on sat. Prone shooters might want to throw a tarp in their vehicle if its high humidity or has rained. If you have a shooting bench bring it. Nap time.

25 shooter limit is reached and 8 on waiting/cancellation list.

I hired a local and the camp site will be mowed this week(my hay field). A little work at the mile target site and it will be finished.

10 days till the shoot.

Set up the 23 rd.
Shoot from 8:30am till 5 pm on the 24th. After you've had your supper, gather around a camp fire sat night(bring lawn chair).
Drive home on the 25th.

Bring boots it might be muddy. I will spread straw around the shooting line, but to and from the parking might be soft. I have to do more discing today to break up the sod and make a smoother road in and let the rain drain down.

A 6 acre chunk of my hayfield is mowed. The track to the shooting line is disced again. Alternate track made if its wet. Knocked 3 discs off by hitting tree.
Truss company screwed up the truss order (missed a bump out) and then didn't bring 7 of them.
So how was your day?
Trusses start going on top of walls thursday.
 
I'll bring my trailer again Hugh Along with my quads. Just so long as you don't drive like a mainiac this time . I spied some cut outs from a few shells in the bin. Do you have enough yet or in need of some more?
 
Your trailer and mine will add shooting space for the prone guys. A few are bringing benches. I can't drive fast yet ribs still won't allow it, even in my truck. Bumps and sneezing are bad. Yet I can lift a K oxygen bottle again.
More plate cool! Waking up at 4:30 bites.
 
I will start putting out targets about noon, starting with the big ones. Then come back and load up all the racks and little targets, on the trailer. I guess I should figure out what goes where. More on the to do list.

Hope my shoulder is good by that weekend!
Not sure if I should do any shooting this weekend to give it 7 more days healing time.

3 of the last 6 days started with minus 2. Dress in layers. I'll make a fire pit too keep us warm. Friday high of 21, low of 8. sat high of 14 low of 8.
Time to get cracking on the target sorting and placement. So three golfballs at 800 and 3 at 1000. Should I put any out farther? I have to paint the post that hold the golfballs so we can see them. 18 to 20 inches out of the ground should be good to see misses easier.
