Hey Tigrr,

My wife and I started building our home last September. We are doing most of the work ourselves as well. Its been a long road, lots of back breaking work and challenges abound, but the rewards are worth it. We plan to grow old in this home. Heres a recent photo:

Wow 25 signed up and 7 on the cancellation list!!
Hay field is now a disked field. We will be able to see misses really well.

30 bee boxes where the campsite was!! Will they still be there in 26 days? If they are, I'll find a new spot for camping, it just might be a mile away from the shooting line. Which might not be a bad thing.
My field is beside a dead end road so I might just have the campers park right on the side of the road(100 yards from the firing line. Then if it rains nobody gets stuck. Except me retrieving the targets. I have a tenting spot as well. People from 4 provinces heading my way later this month.
Bring a shooting bench or some old carpet to lay on because it freshly tilled dirt! I will smooth it out with my railway rails and pack it down some, but be warned. I will figure out the map software and send it out soon. Something that can be copied and printed!!

My range rules one more time.
Safe gun handling.
Muzzle points to the sky or the ground , no sweeping other shooters.
Bolt open or out from case to shooting line and from shooting line to case.
Bolt open when gun is not attended on shooting line.
No gun fondling while people down range.
Buddy system of chamber check before moving from shooting line.
No restricteds.
You must belong to a gun club, or be an NFA member with insurance.
And I'm kinda a safety nut, so everyone goes home in one piece.
Oh and the guns go away when the alcohol comes out to play.

24 members in the 1 mile target club. 28 members in the 1500. 68 in the 1200 yard club. Hosted over 100 shooters at my outings in 6 years. I'm smiling as I type this thinking about the memories. Life is good!:dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

4 people have asked about bringing there dogs but I must insist, that you leave your dog at home please.

I sure hope I can make it!
I would love to see your guys shoot!
Unfortunately, I am no longer a member of any club.
And I have no interest what so ever in becoming a member here in G.P.
I am not mad at anyone or anything. Its just that this club has nothing to offer me anymore.
I understand your rule about being a member.
What are my options? I would love to shoot!

Change of topic: i have to disipher my ladder test, and go with a load by sat.
I need to get out there and physically prove my loads.
Lots and lots of shooting to do! But very limited time to do it. :-(

We just had snow here 5:15 pm thursday!! The locals haven't started dropping crops yet. Global warming, huh.

NFA membership.

Its like $30 a year and you get sweet magazines about guns to read! :D

Did you order good weather or forget..............? ovrec

Ask my friend Dmay. It wouldn't be hugh's shoot if it wasn't blowing snow at 15km per hour into our faces. The neat thing is the shooting line is tucked into the trees a little bit, so the snow won't be an issue.
There are 30 trees to remove on the weekend, feeling strong? Might just cut them down and drag them into a hole in the bush with the deere.

Count Down

Wow time flies. 1 weekend to prep the shooting line. Who's coming to help??
The shooting line clearing is happening on the 10 of sept. It would be good to have 3 people. Max is one I'm another, we need a third, but remember family first DT! 2 people to hold up the log while the 3rd wires it in place. 1760 Backstop.. Maybe Jdeere is the 3rd! 1760 yard 4'X8' target has 1 coat of black and the next coat is white paint and just waiting for it to dry and the florescent orange will go on. Its all coming together. Still need to make more target stands but first rainy day that will happen. LIG

Wish I was close enough to help out, but ya had to move way the hell up there........
Don't forget to slide over to the cannon shoot this weekend, you'll need a project to occupy all your spare time this winter........

Got 2 more larger targets welded and 3 coats of paint. Cut down 30 trees to clear out shooting line, disked the field for 4 hours and then drug around 2 12 foot sections of railway rail for 3 hours to flatten out the parking spot and access. Bee hives are still there so I need to find alternate spot for campers. Dead end road might become new camping spot. This weekend I discuss it with my helpers. I'm baked!!!

Bug suicide in the dried paint the next morning. 1000's of them.
