Beauty, very nice
. I never had any factory ammo loaded with the pneumatics, just the bullets I happened to obtain and reload for use in my 30-30 reloads.
Barnes also makes a 180gr?
I have a love/hate relationship with the .270 Winchester.
It's a fine cartridge that I've used for years on all sizes of animals. I've loaded bullets from 115 grain V-Max to 150 grain Partitions. The .270 Winchester has never let me down.
I hate it because I live in the part of Ontario that has calibre limitations and .275" is the uppper end. (Yes, I know the .270 is .277" but the regulation is based on the rifle not the bullet.)
Were it not for this I'd have a 7mm Magnum and a 7-08.
You can own any calibre you like, just can't hunt with anything larger than 270 in SW OntarioWere in Ontario are you living that you can't own a calibre larger than .275? That restriction is only for small game. Unless that is all you mean you use it for. I myself live in S.O. and and only own a .270, but even when I go moose hunting in N.O. it's all I carry.
A 270 is actually a 277 caliber bigger than 275, they are as precise in Ontario than in Quebec... JP.
Just bought my first .270 in over 40 years of shooting. Ran across a Remington 760 in as new condition and couldn't help myself, so it had to come home with me. Looking forward to wringing it out. Cheers Bac4
. I have a 'pair' of 270's.
