I know, have the RCMP classify the Type 81 LMG a variant of the Valmet M78 and everything works out for everybody.

Oh. I didn't know the reason they were given exception but it seems then they wouldn't do it again. Hopefully it just gets through then.

The type 81 could very well be the only piece of chinese hardware I ever buy if they allow it to be imported.

Count me in for one of these, too, so long as pricing is somewhat in line with the Vz58's, and spare mags are affordable and plentiful.

I believe the spare mags are just AK mags. Could be wrong tho.

Im tempted by all three but my order of preference:

1- Type 81 (Need clarification on the mag interchangeability)
2- Flora
3- Mendoza

Id be in for a type 81 dependin on avaliability of extra mags and if its NR. the ones in the pic are they the ones you are bring in that might be classed non restricted or do those hae a longer barrel ?

agreed. I would take both the type 81 and the QBZ-03 eventually.

Good luck on getting these in the country I hope they get a non-res!!!! now that I know about them time is going to pass like a slug until they arrive...

Boy, it would be incredibly dumb of the Chinese if the mags on the type 81 weren't that of the AK type; or at least interchangeable with those of the millions of AK's that they must have!

I would buy the floro and the type 81. Type 81 for sure before the floro, but bought sooner or later. The madenza is almost like the brs99 which is my next buy.
