How long afterward for the application to get approved?
Many variables... But your interview must be done, then your two refs (if RPAL). Then pic gets scanned into system and everything fired off to CFO. CFO has final say, and well, that seems to vary from province to province.

If you haven't been contacted within a week of appearing online, I'd call as per the instructions on the first post of this thread and proceed from there. Just remember, until you appear online as processing, no ammount of phone calls is gonna change anything since you're not in the system yet and the person on the phone can do NOTHING to help you.

Cheers and good luck.

I've been calling and calling and it doesn't even put me on to hold, it just keeps saying "we are experiencing a high call volume please call back" ... And when i do call back its just the same thing. I've gotten a letter from the RCMP a few days ago stating i have to get ahold of them to do my interview before ____ date or it will be cancelled. What do i do? just hope that it puts me through ?

Can you be refused...just because

How often does someone get refused for no apparent reason? Myself and my wife just sent in our pal and rpal. Both do us have passports and no criminal records. I was even cleared to work in a prison a number of years ago. Do they ever just say no? I hate dealing with the government. Anyway mine was sent registered last Wed Oct 19 so let's see how it goes.
Cheers Wally

Well you have at least 3 weeks before it even enters the system for processing/interviews, so don't lose any sleep over it right now. As long as your criminal record is ok, and your interviews are good you'll be fine.

Passed my course on 9/9.
Got my papers stamped on 9/23.
Sent my papers away on 9/26.
Received on 9/30.
I called every week to try and move it along but nobody could help me.
Came online 10/21.
Did my interview on 10/26, so did both of my references.

What now? Will I be getting it soon, or is there still a few weeks of waiting? The 28 days is up if you count non-business days so should it be going to the "yahoo! we're mailing it out!" stage soon? How long does it usually take once interviews are done?

Your file seems to be almost 90 days old. Is there an explanation for why its taken 2x the standard of service? Were your documents not in order? Were your references not acceptable?
