It has been documented in some videos and posts on other forums that over loading the magazine will cause failures. Especially with the first couple of rounds because there is no actual spring-feed tension once you get over 22 rounds jammed in there.

All the failures that occurred for me were in the middle to end of the mag. I didn't have any feeding issues, just light primer strikes and failure to eject. Also the two bolts inside were both loctited before I went to the range.
 
I shot around 150 rounds of Federal bulk HV ammo yesterday through my ISSC (first time out). No problems whatsoever. With a Vortex Sparc I put a mag full (22 rounds) in around 1" at 25 m, with each of my two mags. Very pleased with accuracy and reliability, not a hick up. I believe I could have done better with a scope.
 
Still have light primer strikes. The rifle seems to require a lot of cleaning to maintain any semblance of reliability. My problems start to occur around the 125-150 rounds fired mark. I've read people have done firing pin mods on the gsg-5 and that has significantly improved performance.
 
I'm really interested in this rifle. Mostly because it's a .22 and my wife and other non shooters can comfortably fire it and it looks like a whole load of fun. Might just have to whip out the plastic and make a phone call.

I'm going to scour the interwebs about their reliability however, and either way I'm sure fixes will come through the community.
 
I still haven't shot mine but is sure is fun to look at and fondle. Got a metal foregrip and scope on order to pimp it up as well !

Will post pics when i get the accessories.

so i put 555 rounds on 10-28-2011 and today I put anther 555 total 1110 and 6 jams, 4 of them were duds and the other 2 was problems with feeding.....I love mine
 
Heh, I don't log on to CGN for months, and the first thread I happen to look at when I come back causes me to order another rifle. :redface:

Unfortunately the problems with mine continue :/
Tightened all bolts & thoroughly cleaned but it made no difference. light strike on every 3-5 rounds... On the bright side, I had only one fte with stingers. not sure what my options now are but the internet remedies have not worked for me. glad most everyone elses work though lol.
 
I try mine today. I shot 8 mags. At least one to two failure to eject on every mag exept one. Round jam between bolt and receiver. The ammo I use is Federal value pack.
 
Well there are at least 5500 of these in circulation in North america and less than a dozen bad reviews on YouTube. Even thought the vast majority are happy, it's no consolation to those stuck with a dud. It's up to the dealers/distributors/ISSC to make it right. A few of the bad vids on Youtube are 2nd hand guns so good luck to those guys !

I have had a few light hammer strikes, but not many. I have currently put over 3000 rounds through mine with very few issues. While mine runs pretty good, I have inspected the casing after a light hammer strike, and its very light. I have cleaned it after every outing, and checked the "light hammer strike screw" to see if it has backed off. It has not. Someone on this forum mentioned that the bolt looks like a gsg-5 and that there is a fix for light hammer strikes on it. I took a look, and it looks identical. I also read the gsg-5 light hammer fix and it seems to make sense. In this day of mail order everything, I'm sure that a select few of us picked this up at the local gun shop. That being said, even if a dealer would give you a new replacement, It would mean shipping it back and waiting for the new one to return. This would be at least 2 weeks and the best hope a guy could have. The other option is sending it back to issc, this, I could see running into months of wait time. I can tell you this rifle is a blast to shoot! and I am not fond of waiting. If mine did not work, I would get out my files and start filing.
 
well mine showed up this week and so did my buddy's

went to the outdoor range today warm sunny great day to shoot stuff...lol

first we tried several types of ammo
win 555 coated
win HV 40g coated
win HV 37g coated
CCI comp best ammo for sighting
Rem golden reg

ammo test the MK22 did not like the win 555 did not like to feed only one mag was tried with this ammo.
the win HV 40/37g and CCI comp all ran with no real issues.
about 500 rds of each were fired.
the rem golden reg started out ok but would at times stick in the mags. lite tapped would free up and hang ups.

sighting first my buddy's gun set up with metal factory sights.
which out of the box were dead on. no zeroing was needed.
mine was set with magpul mbus, but there was not enought adjustment on the front site. so had to go back to factory sights.

my gun ran and fired without any miss fires and did have 2 jams in about 1000rds.

my buddy's as the day went on had several fail to fire.

at this point we stopped and i took his apart and inspected the rear screws
the one that holds the firing assy was all the way out one thread left. the other was still ok. a few other body and front fake gas block screw was loose tighten put together and worked fine after that. took mine home, checked it and mine were still tight but performed the loc tight and retork screws.
all working fine

over all mine worked perfect and my buddy not so good once the rear screws loosened.

so final thoughts great gun over all, even my buddy was ok with it. Understand how the screws could effect the guns performance and doing your own checks before taking to the field would help with this. I have seen and read alot about the screw issues on these guns a small problem too me with over all rating of 8/10.....why only 8 well I don't like guns that have loose fitting mags as I can see feeding issues with that...and that this gun won"t just fire any old ammo....
