Browning isn't a gun maker, they're a marketing panel- they stick their stamp on other makers guns, and call them a 'Browning'. Browning to me today means nothing other than they were able to market me a rifle they didn't even make emblazoned with their logo and in a box bearing their name. A common enough occurence in the industry, but it looks pretty hoky beside makers that actually build their guns, Ruger for instance, especially when you're trying to get ahold of a spare part as 'Browning' parts can come from anywhere of three continents and a dozen manufacturers. I'm sure that's where the reluctance stems from on getting a grip cap for this rifle.
The Superposed is the last survivor of the shift from a firearms manufacturer to a firearms marketer. I am perhaps bitter as they used to be one of the best. Sorry for the hijack, but it is a 'I've got a problem with Browning' thread.
