It's here: NEA-15 unboxing photos

In the sixth picture the end of the rail (closer to the receiver) doesn't seem quite right. The tabs look to be squished together. Is it designed that way?

Maybe it's just the angle.

The explanation I got was as the rail was so long and in the interest of saving weight the side rails were kept to a minimal. As such the pinch points were kept to the side to maximize the amount of lower rail available and to get the rail as close to the reciever as possible.

To each there own.

Perhaps NEA should provide a scaled down version where the railed handguard in NOT included. The clamping does look 'drab' per se, but yes, to each their own.

Now, for a range report.

Thanks for the pics! That is a sharp looking rifle. The hand-guard is very nice.

Are you able to take a pic of the bolt carrier key? It doesn't look like it from the pics, but did they stake the castle nut?

Bolt carrier key is staked, castle nut is not. Which suits me fine as I want to put a sling plate and milspec tube on it anyway.

Range test is set for tomorrow.

Er... komrade.

VERY NIce!...I would like to be making romance on this rifle while making toilet, no make up....Yak-shimash.
