Glock Gen 4 RSA Exchange

Ive got an early Gen 4 and the RSA is already on its way to me. I have had some casings fly off in odd directions including straight back. Do you know if theres a replacement program for the ejectors as well?? The RSA rep at glock has "not heard of anything related to this matter" lol

Glock will not send out the new ejectors. The will only send them to certified Glock Armourers. They want you to send the gun in to them or a warranty depot to have them replaced. There have been complaints on both the Gen 3 and 4's on the G17 and G19's about casing ejecting towards your face. Glock is only replacing them in the Gen 4's. What you have to do is buy the trigger housing assembly with the new ejector and change it out yourself. But...Glock is not sending the new trigger housing assemblies out yet. They are all going into the new guns right now. When I called Glock a few weeks ago they said that they will be sending out the housings soon to places like Glock Parts, Glock Store etc. Trigger housing assemblies are cheap, like around $10. I have one on backorder from Glock Parts, I'll call them tomorrow to see if they have it yet.

Try the new spring first.

What you are describing is usually due to a very stiff recoil spring.

I once had a Steyr-MP9 which would toss the brass straight back and into my eyes (i.e. safety glasses). Not cool, but once the spring relaxed a bit it started ejecting properly.

Ya ill try the new RSA first, didnt really notice any ejection problems but when I paid attention they seem to not be very consistent with direction of flight. Hard to tell tho cause in a small shooting bay they mostly bounce off the wall anyways so I cant tell how the grouping would look if they were are flying out unimpeded.

Can anyone speak on the failure to feed due to limp wristing issue as well?? Idk if this actually causes FTF's but like I said I myself have put about 1700 rounds through it without so much as a hickup but the 300'ish rounds my GF shot had 4 FTF's during to shoots and was always 2 FTF's back to back!

Thats how I got in tough with them and the response was fast!!! Id say rifle off an email and they will forward it to police ordinance aka their canadian contact. I was quoted a 2-4 week waiting time till delivery for the RSA!

Actually, now that you say that, when I was shooting my Glock, I had a casing eject at a wierd angle and onto my sleeve. I had to do some strange movements, before it burned through my sleeve.

EDIT: Calling now- as painless as removing a bandaid from your nipple  I joke. Will Glock send instructions as to how to take down and replace the RSA for us who don't have proper experience taking down their pistol?

Hi Djmay71, you'll receive all the proper instruction with your new RSA from Glock. It's pretty simple if you know how to field strip you Glock, you know how to change your RSA!(If not try youtube);)

It takes all of 2 minutes. Have you really never field stripped your gun???

And to think this guy wants to open a gunsmithing business lol

See, I realized there's a need for a local gunsmith/ paintball pro-shop. Now- why not go directly into that? Well, because I figure, it'd be easier to establish your name as a reputable online dealer before going brick & mortar.
