Kel-tec SU16

I shaved them both down.. there's no rocking any more and I tightened the bolts.. even with it hanging on one screw it seems pretty stable.

I moved my foreend forward as it is adjustable on the main rail. I have it so it comes right up over the gas block. I didn't remove my Kel Tec bipod ring so the rail has to sit in front of it.

Looking good Silveragent.

You used Scotch tape and found it a little wobbly, say it aint so, next time at least use duct tape :) Seriously though, would like to hear how the grip/bipod works out.

I put on all this crap quickly but I'll have to take it apart because it's pretty wobbly so I need to tighten up the screws and get with the Loctite as you said.

I might add a sudgestion Silver. I removed one of the short pieces of rail off the underneath, moved the frt section forward on the rail and bolted the piece of rail in front of the main rail to put my sites on.

I think you're going to find the front site to high to use with the rear site you have right now.

I'm trying to decipher what you are saying P@rick .. I did end up raising my scope and it may cowitness with those BUISes.

oh wait I think I understand what you said. hmm let me consider it.. I have extra rails from another project.

This is what it looks like now. I raised the scope, moved it forward (so with a 2X -- not shown -- i have eye relief) and put the BUIS on the same level.

The quad section of the CASV can be unbolted and moved forward or backward on the main rail. I moved the quad section forward so there was about 1.5" of space in front of the rail. I then took one of the short pieces of rail from underneath and bolted it to the empty section. My frt site attaches to that rail and my rear site attaches to the actual rifle.

Here's a better view of the top. The sites mount on and become flush with the top of the main rail.

P@rick, I get what you are saying now. I should definitely do that because there is still some wobbliness from it being on one screw. I'll crack it open again in the new year before I go shooting again.

@Lineofsight: I missed your comment earlier. Haha That scotch tape was left over from wrapping presents. :) I`ll let you know about that grip/bipod when I get to shooting. The only thing I don't like about it right now is that I have to take it off the rail to have it fit in my case.

@zerex: too much of a ##### to swap.

Could one of you guys with the SU16 with the forend post a pic of what the rifle looks like with the original stock and new forend.
Thanks
Not quite the CASV frt but pretty close. This ones got a few trinkets on it but the stock is the original.

Here's a pic of it with a cheek riser on it.

I know the stock is meant to fold, but is there a rifle stock that is a solid piece available, without the hollowed out area to store mags?

The folding of the rifle is not something Im too concerned about, Id just like a proper rifle stock.

Kel Tec doesn't produce a solid butt stock. They do the AR type, the one pictured and "Charlie" model which is one that has the very back part that folds into the main part and the gun can still be fired that way.

I didn't find anything really bad about the hollowed out stock. I just wouldn't use it to bash someone with. But that's not what the SU16 is made for.
