Those are probably 120 lb wolf in the pics. The fur is thick, and the photo technique makes them look bigger than they really are but they are big animals. Makes those "100 lb"eastern coyotes look kinda tame, don't they?
I think the "100 lb" eastern coyotes are more likely in the 40-60 lb range, which isn't that uncommon for a large male. Very few people who've shot and weighed them would claim 100lbs.
I agree that the photos were taken in a way that would make the wolves appear larger. I have no doubts that the photos are real.
