Although i agree, there is one problem with the cheaper AR crowd or black rifle community attracting lower income people into the sport, and that is what kind of people are we bringing into the sport that could prove to be more of a liability to us. I have noticed sometimes the types or personality you don't want into the AR(pistol) or firearm world are immediately turned of by the price & time, this actually is a deterrent against the retard class of people.
Someone who is spending more money on certain types of AR or black-rifle is far less likely to commit a crime with them. Who would spend all that money and go on a rampage so to speak? When there is a shooting or someone does go nuts i prefer it to be a non-restricted cheap old school firearm then a tricked out AR. Obviously i don't want this to ever happen, but the Anti-gun wackos would have a field day with this.
You know what, give it a few years and you will see where I'm coming from...
You guys just want to make this a rich vs poor crap...have fun but it ain't...
If you are in the crowd that thinks your Norc will run as good and as safe as a properly to spec AR you are kidding your self.
You bought 3 AR's right, well you could have bought 1 quality AR right of the bat, or that may have been someone else...but my point still stands...
I have no problem with bringing more people into the Black-rifle community Rich & poor and I have, can you say the same = I doubt it..
Most people that are buying there Norc buy it out of ignorance and end up spending more, my point is if you want to use it like a "Super ninja" on a tac course and run a lot of ammo or use it for real world application, then get a proper AR. I don't like being heckled by the NORC crowd on the range all the time telling me there NORC is just as good because CGN told them it is, so my post are doing the would be reader a favor. If you plan on putting upwards of 5000rds + a year through your AR a year like me or many other shooters, you might want to think different. The NORC is god crap has to go, it's misleading, and it does seem to come from this crowd.
If that is all you can afford..well good for you...enjoy the NORC its fine for a little range time but it is not a serious AR.
Man, you are contradicting yourself in your rants.
First you say that people who can only afford a Norc are a liability to our sport. You are making this a rich vs poor argument. And worse you imply that a person who spends a high dollar in a firearm must be mentally balanced. The obvious inference is that those who can't/don't are in fact likely to be criminals. Nice.
Then you say you are a savior to our sport because you have introduced lots of folks to it, rich and poor. So are you saying you have introduced the sport to people who you think are a liability to it?
ARs for real world applications? Please explain. Are you some type of delta/ranger/operator/mercenary that goes to your local civilian gun store to buy a rifle for your next black op?
I bought my Norc because I could afford it and I wanted to try the black rifle game. Turns out I really like it. I bought another one a couple of months later for a completely different purpose, a 24 inch bull barreled rifle vs the 14.5 inch Norc. Not meant for the same types of shooting games at all. Now the 24 has been turned in to a 20 inch Hbar as my interests in the sport have changed and evolved. So now I have two "budget" ARs for different shooting sports. I am happy with that choice. I suppose I could have dug deeper in my pockets and saved more to buy a 16 inch Stag or LMT to use in both games but I would have missed out on most of my shooting season last year. My choice worked for me.
No, I don't run 5 K rounds a year through my rifles, all of them combined. Probably half that if things go well for me in a year. That is all the time and money I have to spend on memberships, match fees and ammo/ components. Gets back to that priority thing I talked about in my first post.
So Norc owners are heckling you because you payed more for your AR then they did? I've never heard of that myself but it could happen I guess. This type of attitude us just as bad as the elitist crap you are spouting. I personally will never tell somebody that they spent too much or should not buy a higher $$$ AR if they can afford it. All I really care about with the next guy down the line is 1) are they safe? 2) are they an a$$hole?
If somebody asks if Norcs are good value, I will simply say that mine works for me so far. Of course with all things related to my hobby, I reserve the right to change my mind later. I may sell my Norc someday and buy a different AR. I don't know. But for now my #### has not fallen off because of what I shoot. And I have never lost a point because of a failure caused by the stock parts and components of my Norc.
Nobody says that the Norc is god - spelling counts. Try proof reading. It does wonders.
