You munch on popcorn as if you know where those phrases came from?
That Mountain SS is pretty neat if it rings in sub 1000$, especially in .25-06.
I'm just enjoying watching you two throw insults back and forth.
If you don't like people watching, then don't fight in a public forum.
I have a 30-06 in a Mtn LSS.
And a 280 in a Mtn rifle wood and blued with the hinged floor plate.
And a 280 in a Mtn rifle wood and blued with the DM.
So I was wondering what people had to say regarding the Mountain Rifles.
Turns out not much intelligent, so I'm just enjoying the fight.

Good to see Remington trying once again, instead of making triangular barrels![]()
Got it. Left-overs from the Kimber thread.
As for the new Remington Mountain Rifle, is Remington really trying again, or do they just want to use up some of the stocks left over from the Titanium rifles?
They already have the LSS barrelled action, then they just throw on the surplus stocks from the Titanium line-up, and then charge about $1000 for them. Not a bad bit of business sense, but not much engineering effort either.
That said... I can see me getting one. I'm not sure if I'd like it in .270, .280, or .30-06
trollSee Archie - this guy knows. You need two .280s to equal one .30-06

Atleast I'm the immature one and not the "nonsense vocabulary buddy" (thats you Buford).

Here is the thread I mentioned earlier:
http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=642724&highlight=poll+problems
Out of a total of 78 new Remingtons, 19 had issues from the factory. That is over 24%, or roughly 1 out of every 4 new Remingtons had an issue. That isn't very confidence inspiring to me.
Out of 61 Tikkas only 4 had an issue. That is fewer than 1 in 15
For Savage it was about 1 in 7 with an issue - not great either, but you are still just about twice as likely to have a problem with a Remington.
I like the lines of the Mountain Rifle - and have owned one in the distant past - but I feel there are better choices out there, especially when cost is factored in. YMMV
Whats is the Canadian price for this Rifle?
an also tell me the price of a Tikka t3 stainless , just so i can do the math roughly![]()
