Nanuq(polar bear) ...

One technique I've heard of is that you put up several tall poles a few miles apart with seal meat attached to the top of each pole. The hunter finds a convenient pressure ridge where he can watch the poles through binoculars, and when a pole falls down, he drives over to investigate and collect his bear. As Pounder said, he's out there somewhere.
