:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

to sum it up...

-we must all pretend our pics will be in a magazine
-it's not possible, but we must try to take pics that won't offend PETA
-you're a lazy slob if there's blood on or near a dead animal
-impressions are everything. all that matters is that everyone else is happy.

if you dont follow this, you'll be labelled a "hillbilly redneck" by an asshat on the interweb. not only that, but your pictures should be burned as they're not worthy of showing other people.

i'd pay big money for the ability to reach through the screen and slap a few of you arrogant turds.

as the old farmer down the road would say," Buncha Damn Teetotalers".

Well in your perfect little world where we all have fords i can guarantee you there won`t be a sheep this side of Newfoundland that`s not scared, cause we all know what ford owners do to sheep. As for salvage lovers, i don`t even want to go there.:nest:

Thems fightin words ! Ill bring down a Salvage for you to shoot again one of these days. I know it makes your day.:D You looked like a kid in a candy store :p

Perfect summary. You nailed it. And I will start a bidding war with you for that ability.

What some consider distasteful , others see as daily life.
I could care less if the tongue is hanging out, or not, about the same way O do if the guy shot his upland birds with a semi or a pump - but there are many here who think those things are the property of lesser people.

I could also care less if my dog is not steady to wing or shot, or if my son's pointer sits on command, or points rabbits - although some here and elsewhere consider than blasphemy.

It's also not anybody else's business if I decide not to have a big rack score,d, if I decide to kill a big fish, or do anyhting else that is within the law.

I don't like a kid with a hat on sideways or his pants hanging down either, but will not tell a person to change for me.

Pics of dead animals are just that -they are dead.
If anyone has ever looked at many of the pics I have posted here there is RARELY a picture of myself in there with the dead animal - I don't think that I should be in the pic that's just me, obviously many disagree with that.

I like to have the culminating photos from some of my best, and toughest hunts up in the house. My wife quite rightfully doesn't want a tongue out, bloodied up red-snow death scene of a Moose half in the willows, legs in the air from its death throws on the wall. Not all my family and friends hunt either, and the tasteful pics encourage interest in hunting, the immediate "as it is" post-kill pics certainly don't. Ask me how I know, I have those pics too and forgot to remove them from a slideshow my wife did for her family on my first Africa trip.

Shame you're so far away, would be happy to meet you for coffee.

I'll tag along and bring all my photo album's.:D Being that photography is the subject, here is one more snapshot of me and Jack, my trusty horse when I was guiding. A beautiful part of the country that we live in.

MM, are you sure those are the post numbers? How is either of these posts in any way disrespectful?

 What exactly are you smoking. What is disrespectful about those pics. Other than you and 2 other arrogant super hunters in this thread, say its not right.

If you've read many of sksscavenger's and canadianhunter's posts, you'll come to see one has a perpetual chip on his shoulder and dislikes smiling immensely, and the other is about 17. I'm just guessing however on the latter however and may be proved wrong. So you just don't worry about it too much is what I'm saying, we're on well travelled paths in this thread and the outcome was decided by the opening post.

Any of these personal values / opinions threads go south in a hurry, we're lucky we only have three sides in this argument! I'm against the OP, track's with the OP but against the other guys, the other guys are against track, me, the OP and Mr. Walt Disney. Cat and Brad are somewhere on a reasonable middle ground between A, B, and C. That's how I see the lay of the battle at present anyhow, it's bound to get messier when the choice of firearms used in included. :p

Lets see how many people I can offend with one pic

Dead animal - PETA
tongue hanging out - Original poster in thread, see above
blood - see above
wearing hat - see above
sitting in truck with hunted animal-see above
wearing jeans - the gear nazi
not wearing orange despite not hunting any more - the safety nazi
killed a doe - the "trophy" hunter
didnt kill a small buck - QDMA fanatics

Did I miss anyone?

All I know is I respected that deer for its life with every single bite myself and my family enjoyed. That, after all, is what matters.

Tell me why I have a chip on my shoulder, because I was unaware of this. And I stated earlier that I am not a smiley guy, never have been and never will be. I am a happy, friendly guy. I personally think people who smile too much are either up to no good or they have gas :p But the point is im not going around telling people they have problems cause they dont do things the way I do or cause they dont smile for there picture or whatever else.

Yes you did. Im not offended by that pic at all :D And if you wouldn't have been smiling, you would have offended Ardent and he could have went all Dr Phil on your ass telling you whats wrong with you :p

Just giving you a hard time, stems from the Metis thread and combative shots at those of us spending lots of money on hunting. ;) You have a strong set of opinions, and so do I. Don't worry about people that smile, the only hidden agenda is they're just... happy. :)

In the end, we're all hunting, and this is a good thing. Blasted, I note the compass- I like it. GPS is for pilots and other sissies.

Here is a hunter I guided from Scottsdale, Arizona who had taken this beautiful Shiras bull moose. Propped him up, whiped off the blood from his nose/mouth and tried to find a good background setting and it only took 5 minutes................a flash in time compared to finding/hunting him and packing it out on horse. I love photography and after 15 to 20 photos usually there is only two or three that is favoured. Good clean photo's will only help the hunting world among hunters and non-hunters. Take it as a positive and not a negative.
