Compact Carbines.....Show 'Em!

Although she is currently wearing an 18" barrel she's still my carbine.

That may be one of the finest looking 99s I have seen. Do tell us about the wood...

Wow, those are some great photos guys. I'ma lever guy and am biased there, but I don't think I have seen a compact carbine here I do not like. Just something about those short ones.
Anyone got an old original Winchester or Marlin trapper or baby carbine? Sure would like to see pics of one of those.

I see there's posts of rifles with 20" barrels, so I'll bend the rules too and pollute the thread with my 870P ;) I prefer to ride shotgun when in heavy grizzly country. Brennekes are a hikers best friend.

Here's my latest build. A Rossi Ranch Hand set-up that looks
much like the rare Winchester 92 Baby Carbine except for
sights. I might put a new ladder rear sight on 'er in the future.
This puppy is a .357 Mag. and I can't wait to get it out for some
range work. :canadaFlag:

My Ruger #1 7x57 has a 20" barrel, but the whole rig is about the same length a bolt action with a 16" barrel. Very handy, but this one needs to find a new home.

I had a beautiful wood ruger m77/44 that I sold and now I regret it. Oh well, I will just have to buy a new one in a 357! :D

I haven't got pictures of my shorties to share but here is the current list

Rossi Ranch Hand 44 mag
Ruger Scout 308
Ruger Mini-30 7.62x39
M38B swedish mauser 6.5x55 (not sure it should be here but it is a carbine)

700 sps varmint 300 Blackout (project is in process)
Marlin 1895 GS 45/70
Marlin 1894 C 44 Magnum
