your on a gun forum...we don't talk about feelings here, we prefer to leave that to the liberal forums.

It's a cheap, fun to shoot blaster, and is more of a novelty than a go-to rifle.
if you want a dependable rifle you may have to invest a few more dollars, but sadly there are not alot of options for a non-restricted pistol calibre carbine in Canada...

Actually, the JR is very dependable! They had issues with the first generation. I don't recall anyone here reporting issues with the Gen II models.

I have one in .40S&W and love it! It is suprisingly accurate too!

I just got back from my second outing with my JR in 9mm. Out to 100m its very accurate. At 75m from a sandbag, shooting with a red-dot, my bullet holes touch as long as I do my part. So far with 250 rds down the barrel, I have had zero failures. It is a joy to shoot, you can dress it up with all the AR accessories you want, and it is non-restricted. It is also fully ambidextrous. The buffer assembly sucks up most of the recoil.

Oh, and it's about 1/3rd the price of an XCR.

I have no regrets buying mine. A few of my AR15-owning friends are strongly considering selling off their restricted 9mm AR's in favour of the non-res JR.

I have the CX-4 storm in .40cal, a great gun, also have the kel-tec sub 2000, it's a ok gun, reminds me of a sten gun actually. I got the 2000 for the ability to store in a small non gun case. the storm is a great gun but was $1300 to buy and make unrestricted, but at the time they were the only option. Quite accurate out to 200m. fondled the hi-point and the Jr, they are better than the 2000 except for the folding option, which was the deal maker for me.

The first and second generations were notorious for gremlins. Third Gens are flawlessly; I have a 3rd Gen haven't cleaned it once yet and never ever any issue yet.

I have been looking at 9mm cabines lately myself. In my opinion the JR is a nice rifle but I would prefer somthing that is easy to take down and clean. I would be more inclined to go with something like a thureon defense (strips down in seconds) or beretta cx4 .

I was really considering one myself but then I noticed that it doesn't have last shot bolt hold open:(
To me the gun needs to have that feature.

I work at the Canadian Tire in Belleville, and the gun section has a JR Carbine...it is one of the newer ones, and I believe they have already sold one. I fondled it a few times and while it isn't the prettiest gun, it seems quite solid. I may break down and buy one; like others said, there just isn't a ton of options in non restricted black guns that can take 10 round mags and are semi auto, and under $1000.

I love mine!

Functions great and have had no issues to date, runs great does not jam, and is a fun littlegun to lite up everyonce in a while.

I would like 45 in one when they they come in but a 40 is fine for me.

I went 40 because its the pistol cartidge i choose to shoot. no ther reason than that.

I phoned JR and talked to them after I bought it, I ran Lead in mine for a while but it could cause feeding issues, so just run copper wash to save on teh cleaning and fouling the chamber feed.

its not an AR so dont expect it to me, but its accurate and just a fun little carbine !!!

And its NON REST !! thats was a key seller for me

For anyone thinking of one, or any other pistol caliber black gun, for 3-gun, be aware some competitions or organizations will only allow rifle caliber (you know what I mean, .223 etc.).
