He's wondering if the gas key is sufficiently staked. I'm not sure...
the NEA bolt carriers I have seen prior,
and the bolt carrier on my norq AR
all have a stake mark on either side of both screws
my guess:
maybe you got one the guy with the staker forgot to turn around and do the other side on
people churning out hundreds of parts a day can do this sometimes...
phone up NEA and talk to them,
for what its worth the single stake looks to be deep enough,
gun wouldnt be unsafe, obviously it takes less torque to break one stake then two, but just ask NEA,
Hmm sure looks staked to me...
The bolts are torqued to 56ft/lb at assembly and require an average of 82ft/lb torque to remove with the staking. It is sufficient.
The majority of our carriers are not staked in this manner, but have been inspected/tested.
