Xcr v. Mr1

Absolutely, I can understand why you would so intensely defend the xcr if your rifle actually shoots like this consistantly.
Out of the half a dozen 223 xcr's I've spent some time with, none of them even came close.
7.62x39 and a 1-9 slim .223 barrel is coming. By snail mail, of course. On a ransom rest(fathers) I was able to get a. .50 MOA with the MFS 7.62x39 ammo. Using that rest doesn't take shooter skill, but it gives you a great idea of how accurate your rifle is. I was hoping with the, .223 the results would be better. Next week I will be trying to get to our 300 meter range at the club. I'm excited to see how it does.
I think it deserves to be said that .50 MOA seems pretty awsome to me, but I was always under the impression by way of example that every other 7.62x39 I've had, has never touched the accuracy of even my shortest AR's in .223. This is one of those examples of painting them all with one brush, I guess. Caliber Profiling! Lol!
Where did you get the slim .223 barrel from? I've only ever seen the HBAR for sale. I was considering get mine re-contoured down by a local gunsmith.

Ya, they are rare. The one I have coming is off a Generation 1 XCR. To be honest I was disappointed that it wasn't a heavy barrel, but now that you mention it, there will be a benefit to the lighter weight.
I asked the question when i was down at Benilli Armi in Italy and they told me that they are in the process of offering a 1 in 9 heavy target barrel for the MR-1, no date was given to me but they told me that tests are already done, i left all my infos so i can be sent and email when it will be available and also they are thinking of a MR- in 308 as i was told, looking forward to see... JP.
Honestly, as much as I love my XCR, I would love to get my hands on the Restricted version of the MR1 with the flash hider that Wolverine has on their website. That thing looks sweet. The next Italian carbine I'm waiting for will be that AR160 Beretta beast. Anyone betting that will be at least $3000?

I'd have to also echo the sentiments on the ARX-160. I think it has the ability to become everything the SCAR and ACR had the potential to be: Lightweight, fully-ambixdextrous and a toolless interchangeable barrel system.

Believe what you want. If you don't believe it, good for you. I own Noveskes and they are no different than any other AR that I have bought or made. They are all milspec and you pay for the name. Its upsetting that people feed into that crap. I bought mine cause I didn't have one. That's it. They make a nice looking rifle that costs too much. If you build them, you know that there isn't much difference between any of them and if you believe that they add some kind of magic to it to make it better, than go spend your money and be disappointed.

And I think you're probably right about the price tag. At least I would be really surprised to see it priced under $3k... (if so, it will give the Tavor and XCR a good run for it). It's the only black rifle I would seriously considering selling any of my ARs for. Here's hoping for one in 2013, anyway...
I'm speaking of noveske stainless barrels, which have been proven repeatedly to be more accurate than your average chrome lined.
No magic there, just a well finished barrel from a high quality blank.
More like the 'Caramel' zone...!(I admit, I can't shoot anywhere near that good!)
You guys missed the part about the Ransom Rest. It secures the rifle to the table solid mount. I'm definitely not that good. You pull a lever on the base so it does the trigger pull for you.
