Yep. Your right. Our screw up doing the best to fix it.
So busy have not Checked voicemail in 2 weeks.

What are you doing that is so consuming that you cannot take 5-10 minutes out of one day in TWO weeks to check your voice mail??

Do the people whom resell your products get the same extremely delayed treatment??

As for closed for CANSEC and ESSA, what I can google tells me its trade show crap and some local township crap as well.

Still disgusted with that not checked voice mail in 2 weeks........even the RCMP of all bogged down places check their voice mail everyday and reply within 1-3 days AT MOST.

I was seven months getting an issue sorted with a 12.5 inch shorty shotgun I got from him. On the first firing it turned into a harpoon gun: barrel, cap, spring and retainer went down range. Turns out the threads on the mag tube were buggered and would not securely hold it all together.

No response to pm's, emails or calls. When I did get anything back there was lots of "Sorry I was busy", "sorry I was away" and "Sorry I was sick" replies. In the end he sent me a spring, follower and mag cap none of which helped to remedy the problems. I had to get a machinist buddy of mine to rethread the mag tube that he / his machinst buggered when they chopped the tube to fit a 12.5 barrel.

PM me if you want more details etc.

Personally, I'm done with him.
Threads were buggered because you fired the gun with a loose mag cap. The parts were sent free to see if it could be fixed.
I'm sorry it took so long.

Yikes! Fortunately, I'm only "out" $21.99 ... a relatively cheap lesson for me, and a cautionary tale for others ...

"So busy have not Checked voicemail in 2 weeks." Wow, that's a real stellar business practice.

I notice (in their section of the Manufacturers, Specialties and Gunsmiths CGN forum) that they're closed all next week while they're attending the CANSEC and ESSA blastoff ... whatever the hell that is. :)
Your parts have been sent. Again sorry for the issue.

Can you please explain what the hell this has to do with you?
What vested interest do you have in this?
Or are u just here to be a #####.

Wow you guys are quick to out and #### talk a company i bet there are more positive opinions about s&j then negative. Of all the people ive talked to on this sit these guys are one of the best and sorry your on your rag and they couldnt give you a tactical tampon soon enough but im sure there is a bigger picture then you. Ya a buisness is based on customer service but one customer with an issue makes a small deal in the long run of things.

I have dealt with S & J on numerous occasions. Never had a single complaint. Great service. Have had many phone convesations that made me feel like I was dealing with somebody I've known for years. I am sorry that your experience wasn't as good, but I really don't think we can judge a business by one unfortunate incident. My money will keep going their way because they have always given me, and many others, a quality product at a decent price. Just my $0.02

I want your products but given you wont check voice mail for at least 2 weeks, then snap at your potential customers who want to know if they will same delays, man screw supporting you.

As a regular at S&J, I can only detail my experience.

I have outfitted two shotguns, pretty much front to back with gear from BadBoyBesson.

Alot of items were custom orders, or (at the time) first run productions that were buggy.

The mag extension issue we eventually worked out together, that it was the follower causing issues. This solution came only after alot of trial and error, but he was with me, more or less, every step of the way.

Anyone who says "there has never been an issue with ### dealer" is probably smoking something :) I've had issues with supplies and dealers that I have dealt with on a regular basis and there is always a mistake or an error that slipped through the cracks. The more you deal with someone/company the more of a chance that a clerical error, prototype bug, etc can occur.

Until I came along, Wolverine never even realized that a ambi paddle mag release and tactical bolt release both installed on a CZ 858 will not work!. But I digress.

Mistakes can and will happen, what separates a good dealer from a great dealer, is how they handle it afterwards.

BBB has come in here and admitted he made a mistake and he is taking steps to resolve the issue, there is no need to constantly put foot to bum here without a valid reason to.

Everyone should take a collective step back and go for a walk.

Those who are just out to pick a fight, seriously?.

Grove
we are going through a very busy time of year, one of the reason we do try and ask that customers buy from our dealers, is they have alot more staff then we do.
I could go on about how ive been in and out of hospital all year or the fact that my mother is dieing in hospital 5000 miles away and i cant go and see her, of the fact that she just had her 8th surgery in the last 2 months .
That my dad has had such a hard time, the doctor has have him sedated 3 times due to the stress.
Oww there is allso my sister who just got engaged and here boyfriend just rolled his van and cant work, they own a cab company and that means no EI or benifits for them.
But i know that all people care about is why there product mabe late.
But we are trying to get all the products we can out to dealers and customers as fast and as correct as we can.
Again we are sorry for any stress we have put on our customers, you mean alot to us and we thank you for the support.
If anyones feels like working 18yrs a day 7 days a week for years for less then min wage, give us a call we have lots of work for you.

To the OP we are sorry we put you in this situation where you had to post this on CGN its embarrassing for both of us.

Not embarrassing for me ... but it's still time to bail ... for one month ... it's just $22.

Too much beer-in-hand posting right now.

I've bought a few S&J products, but only dealt directly through BBB for one of them. It wasn't a huge purchase, but he corresponded with me, in a prompt fashion several times about the product I was interested, and was nice enough to notify me when they were back in stock, so he could reserve me one, as most were spoken for. He answered all my questions, and was very easy to deal with, S&J shipped my order in a timely fashion and I couldn't have been happier. It's unfortunate that this had to be aired on CGN, it's hard to fault the OP as any of us would be frustrated at the same point. BBB clearly has alot going on in his personal life, and I think it atleast reflects good on him that he is on here attempting to resolve the situation. We are all human.

Nice try but absolutely not true. The gun was given a quick once over to make sure all was tight, no barrel obstructions from packaging materials etc., pins & trigger group were good to go. One shot was all it took; #8 Federal Target load no less. Imagine if it had been something hot?????

Parts were sent free of charge.. wow how nice of you. Only took seven months of persistent emails and a threat to out you on CGN to get any kind of reaction at all. As mentioned what you sent did nothing to remedy the problem. I got it fixed on my own seeing as I just could not take any more BS for another six or seven months.

My only regret (apart from giving you any business to begin with) was not outing the sh*tty service at the onset. May have prevented another member from this hassle / poor service.

We're done!

True enough however be honest and upfront:

"Gee guys I realize I messed up. We do have a lot happening here: it may take a little while to get the situation rectified but we will do our best as soon as possible."

I 'd accept that any day over weeks / months of silence, no replies to emails pm's or calls. Then when contact made all goes quiet again for weeks ...and the cycle continues.

Yes we are human. Yes we can be impatient too but there is a limit to what a customer *WILL REASONABLY* be willing to tolerate and that too should be taken into account. Worst case scenario, if you can't provide the level of service due your clientel then either shut her down temporarily or hire someone short term to do it for you. The initial expense may seem like a lot but I am certain it will be less than what it will cost you inthe long run as a result of piss-poor service.

Class ...

That's classy. Thank you for taking the time to sit down and type-out that (obviously sincere) message.

It appears (by every passing minute) that these talented and entrepreneurial new-Canadians (and I wish we had more) simply "bit-off more than they could chew" ... and then ... to make matters worse ... life (always messy) intervened.

Or maybe they're just gypsies ... or channeling the spirit of Sacha Baran-Cohen.

We will know the maybe-true answer to this question when-and-if I get my Tec Loc.

At least ... now ... everyone who's reading this will be real vigilant.

1 shot of #8 load you say? im sure i would have remmbered that.
But it was a long time ago.
I guess that would explain why we never heard anything back from you when we sent you those parts.

well i look at it like this i have never bought nothing from him YET but if your on here alot you get to know what venders people like and use alot and ive seen tons of good posts about him and hes always on here commenting and helping. I have seen 2 people complain and 1000's rave about him so i guess its hard to please everyone.
