I just finished doing a cleaning and I figured what the heck.
On the left, my Kimber Stainless II with Recons in Predator Green. On the right my Ruger SR1911 with Operators II in Black Gray. The Kimber originally had the Operators, but I swapped it over since I thought it suited the black hardware better.
I love the texture of the Recons but I am a little disappointed the green is very subtle. I wish it popped a bit more. I noticed the green is a little more vibrant on different textures. I still prefer it over wood though!

Where did you buy your grips from? I'd love a set for my SR1911. Are they just standard fullsize grips?

Ruger 1911
This is my first experience with the 1911 platform and so far I'm loving it. The gun is a joy to shoot and as accurate as I could have hoped. Got her last month from Wolverine Supplies at a great price ($685) and did a few minor changes...the first of many I'm sure

Just got my new Sti Trojan .40S&W. Put on some VZ grips and a magwell. Gonna replace the plastic trigger as soon as possible. Not sure which one to get though. I'll have to do some research.
