Thanks, not good enough though. I need to dry fire and shoot more which is difficult to find time for right now. I'm hoping to pick up a lot of tips from Earl at the course.
Time: 6.03 seconds
Pistol: Glock 17 Gen 4
Holster: Calculated Sentience LLC Kydex holster and pouches
Condition: Drew from open front jacket
This is a personal best, and I'll admit everything was jelling that day. Usually I'm just sub 7 seconds or a little over. My biggest hurdle would have to be getting my first shot off the draw faster. Press out is fine, but I take too long to sight in...almost like I don't trust my instincts. Any tips?
Umm - trust your instincts???
Seriously though, nice jobe. How do you like that holster???
Nice work - very smooth. Quicker on the first shot than you used to be.
Finally got under 7 seconds today!
Time: 6.99 sec
Pistol: Glock 17
Holster: Solely Canadian Kydex
Condition: Drew from under a Parklands BDU vest.
Thanks! I've been working at it a bit. I still feel like I lose a lot of time on the reload.
is there time deductions for no holster? im still wondering where ranges want you to get holster certified from, to be allowed to draw from holster and not bench
Looked nice and smooth to me. What is your split on the draw and first shot?

Take a course from Earl - that ought to make you holster qualified anywhere in Ontario.
No...no holster means you are not doing a draw stroke. If your draw stroke can't be timed, there's no way to assess your overall abilities as a pistol shooter in the way this test purports to do.
Sorry, I don't really know! I've just been working on getting a faster and smoother draw stroke during dry fire. I didn't really pay attention to it at the range, but I should. There's probably a way to go back through the memory on my timer but I never really got that far with the manual.
I am just trying to get a feel for what is reasonable for a duffer like myself to achieve without enormous amounts of practice.

On the second run in the video I rode the slide release so the slide didn't lock. I had to manually run the slide, so it slowed me down a little. Feel free to critique the video!
