Rossi Ranch Hand full-size stock G/B ~ UPDATE - Feb 15/2013

Thanks Boomer74, your photoshop recreation is crude, but effective, but I perfer the large loop. I find it more hand user friendly, just my opinion.

After looking at my attempt of photoshopping your picture, I came to realize I don't want a "small" loop at all...

I want a medium loop... Not the oversized monstrosity it comes with, but something big enough to fit a gloved hand.

Much like the one I created in the pic !

:D

I'll take one; just waiting to hear back from my son, he might want one for his too.
Jr has a 1901 10 gauge Win lever that is missing a rear stock and the bbl is slightly bent at the front band. Maybe this Co can fab one up for him. Hmmm....
That'd be neat; of course with a 19" bbl:rockOn:

PM'd... Talk to Rich about the Win 1901 when you contact him, I don't think he'll touch the bent barrel though.

;)

Any idea if we have got the 6 required for him to start building? :)

Pretty sure he's up to 12 (stocks ordered), ONLY 4 DEPOSITS THOUGH he said...

I asked him for an update yesterday, I'm just waiting to get some news.

He told me originally we were looking @ 1st/2nd week of Sept before he would actually "do the run" of stocks.

:)

I put a nice "olde type" crescent butt plate on my Henry Mares Leg that I put a full length stock on. Looks really cool, adds to the period look. Got mine from Brownells.

Also put on a flip up tang sight (Marbles) so that even with a 12" barrel, I still have a 18" (or thereabouts) sight radius. That gives up nothing when it comes to accuracy and makes a handy carbine.

I know mine is just a Henry rimfire, but its what I can afford.

In its regular Mares Leg configuration it is a lot of fun, but kinda useless. Add a real buttstock to it and you have a supper handy bush carbine. With the Rossi in chamberings like .44 Magnum you have a viable big game gun.

My Rossi is similar but I used a Deluxe stock (pistol Grip), I luckily managed to find a factory rossy pistol grip lower tang for mine so I didn't have to make one.

I just got my new Ranch Hand .45 Colt today from Epps.w:h:
I also communicated with Rich and am sending payment tomorrow
for a laminate stock set in Nutmeg.
The stain on the new Ranch Hands is an ugly red color like on certain Chinese import guns.:puke:
Can hardly wait for the new stock set to arrive!
Now it's time to start the metal work on this puppy.
Thanks for the heads up on these stocks Boomer74!

I want to have my stock finished and sent a message about it via their website to get the pice so I can fire off my money before the deadline, I'm just waiting to hear back.
